The checkin was great. The host met us in the room and described everything and gave local recommendations. He was very helpful. The room was larger than expected especially the bathroom. The room was in the back of the building and very quiet at night.

We could not have picked a better place to stay. Location wise, it’s perfect. Quiet but 1 min walk from the main road. I am looking forward to coming back. It made the trip, don’t even think about it, stay here you will not regret it.

Loved my stay here! The host, Angelo, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit. The view from the hotel was stunning, and the location is perfect! Close to great shopping, restaurants, and famous landmarks. Highly recommend!

In the heart of Amsterdam, will definitely stay there again.

This was the first time I booked a BNB stay via the Hotels.com website. From the moment I booked it, Angelo was phenomenal in communicating. Having stayed at over one hundred BNBs in my travel I knew this was the sign of a great host.For those unfamiliar with Amsterdam, they have the steepest stairs around. And know that the first floor starts on the second story of a building. Angelo's place is up on the 3rd floor, so keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage as there's no elevator. The room itself was excellent! There is a ton of natura light, and a very large bathroom for Europe. The jacuzzi tub was a very nice touch, as well as the large walk-in shower too. The water was always hot and ready. The room has a fridge, as well as an electric kettle and instant coffee maker. Beyond the large bed, there's a nice couch and table to eat and/ or watch TV. This is a real gem in the heart of 'Dam. Located less than a ten-minute walk from Centraal, and close to some of the best sites the city has to offer. I will definitely be booking this place again in the future. Angelo was an amazing host and extremely accommodating.

Angelo is perfect, everything was perfect. Only be carefull with the stairs, this is the only issue the place has. But it is normal because you are choosing a traditional house. Five star plus one star for Angelo 💐

Angelo was an excellent host. Was able to meet me at the agreed time and had everything ready. Gave a really good map with a great hand drawn overview which came in really handy multiple times.  Room was really unique and i absolutely love the giant window and plenty of space. Bathroom was clean, and room was cleaned / refreshed  if I requested it. Location is amazing with everything you want as a tourist right at your doorstep, but still situated a street back from the noise, hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. Just be warned that the stairs are a bit of a shock and might be a pretty tricky to get up if you have a heavy and bulky bag, but just added to the authenticity of the place.  Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for something unique and not a boring Hotel room. Not to mention there was nonstop snacks and Stroopwaffels whenever you wanted  them. Amazing Place To Stay In The Heart Of 'Dam

When you first enter, the entrance door or the stairs might scare you. But behind it is a amazing place,with amazing service. Angelo gave us a warm welcome and everything we needed to feel comfortable. And the place was amazing as well. Very nice and clean. Everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend it.

We had such an excellent stay at the Crown Guesthouse.  Our room was very clean, quiet and so very comfortable.  It was also rather large for Amsterdam, which was nice.  And no shortage of natural light in the main area, which was also uniquely decorated in a way that matched the vibe of the building.  We truly appreciated the that the fridge was stocked with drinks and that their was plenty of coffee pods and a few other goodies.  Angelo, who is an amazing host, not only helped us with a set of luggage up the steep stairs but took the time to provide tips on where to go when exploring.  For restaurants nearby, (only a few steps away) I recommend "The Yeti", if you enjoy Indian & Napali cuisine.  Overall, the location is perfect for exploring.  For a first timer in Amsterdam it was a very convenient location, including the short walk to and from Amsterdam Central station.  If we return one day, we would most definitely rebook The Crown Guesthouse.

Perfect stay

This was a really great location and in traditional accommodation. You do need to climb the traditional Dutch stairs, so pack carefully. But once there Angelo is fantastic, the place spotless and as I say the location perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back. Some complimentary drinks topped off a perfect stay

Angelo was great! The room was beautiful!Great space, close to the canal and central area. The balcony was beautiful and a real selling point. My only negative comment is nothing to do with the property, but the street it's on. The street was very dirty with trash strewn about during our stay, and there's a coffee shop just below the bed and breakfast which meant there was some loud yelling and residual scents on some nights of our stay.Overall, our stay was pleasant and Angelo went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

This property is a wonderful little gem! It is perfectly situated in Amsterdam to access all points of interest.  The property is clean and spacious. It is 3 flights up and the staircase is narrow and steep but this is quite typical of Amsterdam properties.Angelo, our host is absolutely wonderful! Full of tips for our stay, helped us with our luggage and even supplied some bubbles and cake for my partners birthday…would definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful little gem!

Angelo was an excellent host. His instructions were perfect and the guest house was easy to find. The room was spacious and well appointed. We had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!Note - one must climb a few flights of narrow stairs to reach the room. This was no problem for us, just something to be aware of for those with mobility issues.

This property and host Angelo lived up to the reviews.Angelo was very helpful and accommodating. It was a great location, very convenient and within walking distance of most places with plenty of frequent transport if you want to explore further out.We stayed in the deluxe double room which was lovely and spacious and also very quiet, we slept really well.We enjoyed the snacks and refreshments, just what we needed on arrival!If we come to visit Amsterdam again, we would definitely stay here!Thank you Angelo!

This property is in a perfect location, about a 10 minute walk from the central train station. There are a lot of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. It's a great place to start you walk around the city, very close to museums and the canals. The host Angelo was very sweet, he carried my suitcase up the small spiral staircase to our room. Our room had a large window that opened to the street below, which was great for fresh air. The shower had amazing water pressure. Angelo stocked the mini fridge with beer and sparkling wine which was complementary. Tea and coffee was available in the room, and in the hallway outside there was fresh fruit and snacks. Recommend this place highly, unless you cannot climb 3 flights of stairs, as there is no lift. For us it was no problem.
