Nirvana Boutique Hotel

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was great and the rooms were comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!  The hotel is at the end of a quiet road just off the bustling Thamel shopping area.

Outstanding breakfast. Clean room and clean bed linen. Very close to shopping areas . Easy to reach Monasteries and temples from the hotel . Traffic is bad . Overall had a pleasant stay . Very friendly staff

Excellent food in a beautiful garden. Remarkably helpful staff at the front desk. My room was very small, but the price was great!

We spent 3 nights at the Nirvana and loved it. Our room was spacious and clean and had a wonderful belcony. The breakfast Buffett was lovely, and the gardens amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being a block away from great shipping. I would highly recommend the Nirvana.

Everything about this hotel was amazing!  I was greeted at the airport for my transfer and then with a glass of fresh watermelon juice at check-in.  The room was spacious and clean and had adapters for multiple countries.  The hotel is quiet and centrally located.  The front desk staff helped me coordinate an excursion and the on-site restaurant was delicious.  It also included a fabulous breakfast buffet each morning, including an omelette station.  Can't say enough about this amazing hotel!  Special shout-out to Miss Choten Sherpa at the front desk, Zanak my driver/tour guide and Samudra and Solina in the restaurant.  The security guard greeted me each morning, also.  Friendly, helpful staff made all the difference.

I’ve stayed here three times.  It’s my home away from home.  Clean and quiet in the middle of Thamel.  Good breakfast.  You won’t regret your stay here.

I have stayed here 3 times and I will stay here again. It is my home away from home in Kathmandu.  You’re right in the middle of the Thamel hurly burly, but there is a garden and waterfall and you can really enjoy the peace and pleasant surroundings. You won’t regret your stay here.

Nepal Nirvana

I had the pleasure of staying at the Nirvana Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The hotel is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. This was my first time traveling alone, and they made me feel completely safe and cared for throughout my stay.They were always there to check if everything was going well, to see if I needed anything, and to suggest activities to make the most of my time in the city. The atmosphere is super safe, which is very reassuring for a solo traveler like me.The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. And the garden… what a hidden oasis of peace in the heart of bustling Kathmandu! It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge after exploring the city.On top of all that, the prices are very reasonable. The hospitality and kindness of the Nepalese people, especially at this hotel, have nothing to envy to European standards. I honestly think I will return here at the end of my trip in a week’s time.Thank you again to the entire team at Nirvana Boutique Hotel! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kathmandu.

My second time staying here and if I go agian, I will stay here.  Price is great, people fantastic, serive excellent. It is not the Ritz or a high end establishment but location is central, room are old but fine and clean and the service wonderful from the staff.  They do go out of their way for you always.  Also breakfast included, excellent.  I love this place.

I love Nirvana Boutique Hotel & staff

Well placed in the Thamel area of Kathmandu to walk to most of the major tourist sites. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent free buffet breakfast. Free storage for your suitcases when you head off trekking. Lovely garden oasis with waterfall that has a full restaurant and bar. What's not to like? Stayed here on three separate occasions during my 3 weeks in Nepal. Highly recommended.

Welcome to the Very Best Marrigold Express!! This is a wonderful little hotel. The staff are wonderful. The location is fantastic.  This is a gem, its off the road and has a little hidden garden, which is the best retreat in this crazy city. The property was clean. However the black mould in the bathroom had us on alert. Also was surprised to see slide locks on all the doors, not actual proper door locks and lashes, there was no chain or equivalent on the main door. We did however feel safe there, its more of a first impression that never leaves you!

This place stands out because the staff seem genuinely happy! The manager is very friendly and has excellent local knowledge, booked a great trip for me- everything was taken care of. The breakfast here is best I’ve experienced in any hotel, wide variety catering for western and eastern tastes. There was a slight hiccup with airport transfers fat was managed quickly and very satisfactorily😊

This place offers an amazing sanctuary from the craziness of Tamel and Kathmandu. You can’t hear the traffic from the garden for when you have had enough of it! The food and drink is good and reasonably price and the staff are wonderful and want you have a good time in Nepal. I have made subsequent bookings as I return to Kathmandu after various trip away.

A perfect place to stay in Kathmandu.

The location is perfect—tucked away from the noise, yet within walking distance of key attractions like Thamel and Durbar Square. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable.What made our stay truly memorable, though, was the hospitality of the staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to their attentiveness throughout our stay, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home.If you're looking for a blend of luxury, comfort, and genuine Nepalese hospitality, Nirvana Boutique Hotel is the perfect choice. We had an amazing time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Serene stay in the heart of bustling Thamel!

The property is conveniently located in the Thamel neighborhood so you have all of the backpacker and tourist shops around. They do not have a travel agent on the premises, but those are only a few steps outside the gate. The guys at the desk and security will give you inflated prices for things, so take their advice with that knowledge in mind. The room was rather small and the outlets were a little loose. The plugs kept falling out. The room was clean but cramped. There was little space to move, but that was fine, as I only spent about two waking hours in the space over two or three nights. Enough time to shower and get dressed.Breakfast was serviceable. They had meat, sometimes. The garden area was nice and quiet. It is a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood once you walk out into the streets. There is a view from the top floor where you can sit out and watch the sunrise or sunset.The neighborhoods are walkable. Swoyambhu Mahachaitya was about a 25-minute walk, and Durban Square was ten minutes. Taxi drivers do not like the hotel because it is on a one-way street, but if you use the Dom Himalaya address, it's much easier. The two hotels are physically connected through a small but accessible door. Use Pathao to get the price before you ask the security to get a taxi. Pathao was about 375 Rupee to the airport but the security will take you to a waiting taxi that charges 500-700.

This was a magical place as soon as we pulled into the drive. It felt like sanctuary in the middle of a bustling city. My room was so beautifully decorated and that decor flowed consistently throughout the entire place. The included breakfast was amazing. Large diverse spread to include an omelette station. And the large garden patio was magical with the lush foliage, strings of small white lights and flowing waterfall pond. I will never stay anywhere else in Thamel.
