Hilltake Wellness Resort and Spa

In 2013 I had spent approximately two months at Hilltake. It was delightful then and still is. They have upgraded the rooms and added another restaurant where we had probably the best Punjabi Thali we have had in our lives. The food was absolutely excellent. Unfortunately, the spa part of the facility is down due to the earthquake in 2015. I'm looking forward to when it opens up again. The people there remembered me and we received a very warm welcome. Five years ago the Shiva statue was just beginning to become known in Nepal and while we were there this time it was full of both Nepali and Indian Hindus happy to be visiting the well-known statue. The facilities are centrally located and quite convenient for visiting monasteries and other scenic parts of Nepal a very short drive away. I can recommend it highly and I definitely would stay there again. The only complaint I had is that the Internet had its moments, but this is Nepal and to be expected.
