This place is an oasis! Surrounded by amazing rock formations, the tented cabins are all built into the side of giant boulders. Great views from your private deck. The restaurant is place on another rocky prominance, the food and drink very good. The staff was so nice and helpful. We took the sunset nature drive which was very pleasant and our driver very knowledgeable. There is a good amount of birdlife and other non dangerous wildlife, so it is safe to walk the trails in the area. Spectacular sunset! This is definitely on our places to visit again.

My husband and I spent our first night after our engagement and it was absolutely beautiful. Wonderful service and definitely made our special day more memorable. We return every trip to Namibia and recently were there for a gorgeous sundowners hike and drinks. Still amazing. Classy, timeless. Proper out of Africa stuff.

Gorgeous

We stayed here for 2 nights during our recent tour of Namibia. Erongo was one of the highlights of out whole trip. The location is simply stunning it is set in the Erongo Mountains. Our accommodation consisted of a permanently erected Tent which felt like a cabin and was remarkably well appointed with en-suite facilities and a fridge. Although no air con a large rotating electric fan was provided. There was an outside veranda with breathtaking views to the mountains. Our whole trip was based around wildlife watching and this location ticked all the boxes. We did 2 early morning wildlife/birding walks and an evening Sundowner Game Drive. The walks were free and there was a small charge for the drive. 
One of the highlights was the food, which was almost of Michelin standard, beautifully cooked and presented, absolutely deliciously. All our meals were taken on the restaurant balcony overlooking the waterhole and the surrounding mountains. Afternoon tea and cake were served daily. Free WiFi was available at the reception and the Restaurant area. Highly Recommended

We opted to use this lodge as a stopover between Brandberg and Swakopmund.
Beautifully appointed tents with en suite bathrooms, mini bar and outside deck.
Friendly and helpful staff, refreshing swimming pool for those hot Namibian summers!
They have a number of activities such as walking trails or a sundowner trip to view some amazing rock paintings.

There is a lot to explore in the area and it is in close proximity (15km) to the arty town of Omaruru

Oasis nestled in the wild!

Erongo Wilderness Lodge is just a very lovely place. The scenery is mind-bogglingly beautiful and abundant in bird and plant life. This place is different to other places in Namibia as it focusses less on wildlife but more on hiking, which I absolutely love. I went hiking twice here and the flaura is incred-ible.
The tents are very well equipped and very comfortable. Some of the tents require steep stairs, if you are older or not that mobile anymore, I would suggest to inform the property in order to get a tent that is a bit lower down. They all offer lots of privacy though and each tent has a different view.
The staff is very professional and friendly and the food was very good and abundant.
I only had one minor irritation when staying here. We had a tent high up but right in front of the recep-tion. During the lunch break, the chatting of the staff and running safari vehicles down there was slightly irritating as guests come here to listen to the sounds of nature and not the sounds of man.

Stunning scenery and lovely place

We drove up to reception as we had 4WD (interesting section across polished rock) & it was all just as magical as we remembered it.  No regrets at making a return visit, with a very comfortable "tent" & good food.  Staff very helpful in changing a flat (it took 4 of us to release & mount spare) before we could leave.

A magical location

Erongo Wilderness Lodge was our first lodge on a long trip this August. I very friendly welcome at first. The tents well equipped. Bathroom outdoors separated by a door. Animals watches us while showering.. ;-).  we even got a warmers in our bed, when we returned at night. Nights have been close to 3 °C... Dinner and breakfast very delicious. We highly recommend this lodge. 

Wow - what a location !

Once we had navigated the steep rocky drive up to the lodge we had a great time there.

We slept in permanent tents with a  outdoors bricked in bathroom (showered by moonlight).  There were free guided walks, with an  excellent guide, Gerahaus; a guided sundowner climb to see the sunset over the mountains; excellent service; a d some wild life.

A lodge to visit

What can we say : incredible location, incredible luxurious tent N 8, incredible view into the heart of Namibia, peaceful ...stay there several days. You will never forget this moment this location . And the restaurant : our stay was 2019 August the 28 and 29th . every thing was perfect. and our 3hours walk with our guide , never seen such experience. and the sunset. and after the sunset the restaurant with a great Chief (with capital letter) cooking. Thanks a lot for all for this incredible moment. For sure we'll come back.  Philippe. with  french expression : chapeau bas. merci beaucoup. We stayed here for two nights during our trip around Nambia, it's a wonderful place to stay made even better by Deon who was our guide for the three trips we took.
The trip to see the bush art at Paula's cave is a bit of a trek but worth the effort once you get there!
