very well managed lodge. well furnished, super clean rooms with comfortable bed and bedding. friendly and helpful staff. breakfast and dinner are very good. wifi only near reception area. would return here anytime.

Very comfortable and close to Waterberg Park

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Waterberg Guest Farm.  We stayed in a secluded cottage that was a short walk away from the main house.  Very comfortable.  The food was great as well, and we enjoyed meeting the other travelers while eating around the big table.  We also met the owner Harry, who was very gracious and thoughtful.

We stayed in one of the chalets, with a beautiful full window view of the Waterberg. The central lappa area is very inviting and the staff really helpful and kind. We walked/scrambled up the hill on the path which also gave really good views of the whole Waterberg area, and my partner went horse riding,- amongst the cattle and along dry river beds. Harry Schneider also takes an active interest in his customers which I thought sums up the farm. 


Very nice and family small lodge with fantastic bungalows where you can spot the night sky from the bed. Close to Waterberg and cheetah conservation where the lodge does offer a trip to. With a nice hiking tour on top of the small Waterberg starting direct behind the lodge. We enjoyed our stay so much. 

very pleasant stay , well situated , very,very nice friendly staff,   the food,buffets are very good , the drinks arround the fireplace are great .
The rooms are super clean,tastfull,new,big,nice view ...

What an incredible room we got! A small chalet, almost lost in the middle of nowhere, very clean and modern! We really loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a very good dinner.
Count arround 30' drive to get to the Waterberg moutain for a walk of arround 2 hours, with beuatiful sceneries. If you are up to, you can walk up the small waterberg directly from the guest farm.
I'm normally not a dog fan and was a bit affraid as this is an actual farm and there a dogs wlaking arround, but they were lovely.

My companion was booked in here so when I joined him on the trip it was natural that I should do so too.
Downside was that it was 30km off our route but the road was tar and crisscrossed with wildlife.
Reception was pleasant and friendly and my room ready on arrival.
Rooms/tents are quite spaced apart so a distance from the main communal areas. This may be a nuisance if you felt it too far to walk and needed to use your car.
The paths were lit but on a timer so you had to be fairly spritely to get home before they went out. Hey Baas, not all your guests are fit 20 somethings uphill.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful as were the owners so the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Initially I did not care for the idea of a communal formal sundowner before eating at a communal dinner table but overall it was Ok and a good icebreaker.
The 'room' was set on the hillside on a platform with steps to the door. Inside there was lots of space and two large beds. Washbasins and shower behind a screen at the rear of the beds and then a further door or doors to access the open shower and the WC. Maybe too many doors for an old man in the night?? but no trouble really. 
Plenty of storage and sitting space plus the stoop outside.
Lots of birds in the grounds and baboons ass through so keep tings closed.
Lots of space in the formal restaurant and a bar and snack area by a nice pool.
Overall I would happily return here should I be in the area.
Access to Windhoek and Etosha is good.

I have been staying with Harry and his team at Waterberg Guest Farm since 2009. Every stay is enjoyable. They have added a brand new room which is VERY nice, and the kitchen put up splendid meals, both at the lodge as well as picnic breakfasts and lunches.

+ clean rooms and facilities
+ friendly and helpful staff
+ amazing family breakfast and diner ( all guests including the owners eat together)
+ quiet area
+ free parking
+ small pool and sunbeds
+ complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon

- poor wifi signal and only available close to the restaurant
- no mini fridge in the standard rooms
