Etusis Lodge

We stayed here for two nights and we absolutely loved it. Most memorable are the hosts, friendly animals including the meerkat and amazing service. Lodge is in a beautiful setting with lots of hikes, nature and wildlife. Food is simple and homely, we loved eating together with the other guests and the host. Highly recommend - a great place to recharge.

Beautiful property surrounded by nature. Room & bathroom is specious, clean, Bed & pillows are very comfortable. The buffet dinner had plenty of choices & delicious, prepared and served with care. Manager and staffs are very helpful and friendly, took care of us very well. They have beautiful horses, We enjoyed the sun downer horse ride to the Marble mountain, an unforgettable memory. We Enjoyed our stay here very much and I highly recommend this lodge.

What a pleasant surprise! It is a beautiful lodge and the setting reminds me of the old western movies. It is very quiet and people should note that there is no cellphone reception here, however, they do have wi-fi. The hosts are amazing and make you feel like family. The meals were good and drinks are available at the bar, while coffee is available throughout the day. Visitors should note that the directions from Google Maps are likely to make you turn right about 18kms after you have left Karibib. Do not turn right, but continue on the C32 until you see the Etusis Lodge signage.

Fantastic atmosphere away from the crowd, in an immense private reserve. Go horse riding, you won't regret!

We had a lovely stay. Super friendly peple. Horse riding was a highlight. Will def visit again. Very relaxing night spent. And prices are very good. Food was great. Met some nice people around the dinner table. 

Unique place with old history. Nature everywhere, free walking wild animals. Best dinners in Namibia made by local womens. I recomend this place for quite stay lovers. You can feel nature by your self 

The long travel is worth it. You end up in a fabulous place! We were sorry to have spent only one night at Etusis. Monica and Johan are amazing hosts supported by their dog and cats who make the best customer relationship manager. We had great food while watching the endangered mountain zebras and slept really good in this tranquility.

Etusis lodge is an "oasis" in some amazing landscape. The views and the walks that we had from the lodge were like nothing else that we have expereinced.
The lodge is built to complement the enviroment and offers guests a peaceful space from whitch to enjoy both the food and the surounding enviroment. The lodge staff were a big part of ensuring that the experience was memorable.

We had a very relaxing time at Etusis Lodge. Monica and Johann and the entire staff treated us like friends and took good care of us. The "silence" day and night was unbelievable. Our little cottage was clean and spacious with AC.Horse-back riding possible. The food was excellent.


What a peaceful place .... Monica & Johan made me feel home - so caring, helpful and most friendly. I enjoyed the whole relaxed and very familiar atmosphere so much. The Sunset Horseback Riding was a fantastic experience and also Hiking all by myself was perfect. Next time I'll stay longer :-) Thank you so much!!!

Fabulous gem - make sure to stay more than one night 

Peaceful oasis in amazing landscapes.

Wonderful stay!

We are a family with mom, dad and 2 kids (14 and 16) and spent 7 days at Etusis  with our friends.
The lodge is located in the middle of a stunningly beautiful landscape. Here is just nature, space and absolute relaxation. The farm is really to be recommended. The bungalows are beautifully furnished, you can cool off excellently at the pool and enjoy the delicious food on the wonderful terrace of the main house. Monika and Johann were always there for us with heart and soul. We already miss the conversations with the two of them, the beautiful surroundings, the really unforgettable rides on the well-trained horses, the drives across the farm and last but not least the sundowner on the "Schnapshügel" (liquor hill). I hope we will come back to this place again sometime.

Etusis - A place for magical moments

What a magical place! We (2 adults with 6-year-old daughter) immediately felt at home. Monika and Johann are just great hosts, always there, helpful and know the answer to every question, the bungalows super nice, clean, the staff great, the food was awesome (lots of vegetarian dishes). The views, tours around Etusis (which is biiiiiig), sunsets, starry skies and the your hosts' stories are priceless. The horses are super and safely trained so we've sent even our 6 year old out with them. And enjoy the pool and the dinner view! Thank you for everything! We will be back and are missing this place and you guys like crazy!

Feel the magic.

We had a very warm welcome at this wonderful lodge.  The staff were very friendly and informative. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed eating at the long table with all of the other guests.  We had a lovely walk through the valley to the waterfall, where we encountered a family of baboons who were just as curious about us as we were about them!  The night sky here was amazing - so dark that we were able to see the Milky Way clearly. Cannot recommend this lodge highly enough - I wish we could have stayed longer than one night!

Beautiful lodge in a stunning location

We had not planned for our stay but a sandstorm on the west coast forced us on a different path.  We are so happy we came across this place.  What a pleasant surprise it was!
The hosts Monica and Johan were lovely and their passion for the place,  the land and the animals is apparent.  The food was outstanding and we have fond memories of the evening chats over some glasses of wine. 
There are hiking trails on the farm,  but sadly we did not have enough time to explore them all.  However, we spent an afternoon by the waterfall and it was such a relaxing experience,  sitting by the water and listening to the birds. I  wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights.
