It's a very nice place with even nicer people.
You get treated like a family member and they do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible! You can choose from all rolms where you would like to stay and even if you come for the free breakfast one hour too late they will still cook it for you without hesitating.
Also if you arrive by bus they will pick you up for free just give him a call once you arrive so you dont have to pay the overpriced tuktuk.
Overall a very nice experience  i would defimitely stay there again!

First of all, i'ts cheap. i could say it is the cheapest price i could ask for during my trip in Myanmar ( compared to Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay). It's located a little bit far from the center but instead, it's quiet and you can sleep well. In the room I stayed there were 2 beds and one mattress on the floor.  The hostel was being repaired at that time , so I couldn't say about the cleanliness but i think they need to change pillow  and bed sheets more often. My roommate complained about that.   However, staffs were amazing. They are a great family. I arrived at 2 am. It was too early and too cold. I didn't expect i would arrive Nyuang Shwe too early like that, so i hadn't booked room in advanced. I showed the address to the tuck tuck driver and he stopped me in front of the hostel. He helped me to call the owner and knocked the door. Luckily the owners heard and opened the door for me. I guess he was sleeping. I felt so sorry that i woke him up too early but he was nice to show me the room, gave me the key. He also called me in the morning to ask if i would go for the boat trip but I didn't hear him, so I have to go the day after. I asked them to check out in the morning, then go for the boat trip. I would leave at 5.00 for the bus to Yangon. They told me no need to check out, just stay. I only have to pay for 2 nights. 16000 kyats. He helped me to arrange the boat trip and the boat trip was unforgettable with the boat driver and his family. He also drove us to the boat station to start our boat trip. In the afternoon, I had to go back for the bus and my friend stayed on the boat back to the river to see the sunset. The boat driver called him and he drove to pick me up. That was so kind of him. His daughter were also very nice to me. They made breakfast for me and we talked as friends. I would definitely stay again ^^

Feel like home

When we arrived, they said the room we booked was not available. They said they "double booked".  We suspect the real reason was they decided they could get more money from other people. The alternative they offered was a mattress behind a curtain in the corridor. They made no other effort to help us find an alternative (in contrast to the many other nice people in Nyaung Shwe we met while looking.) Also place is generally a dump. Definitely recommend going elsewhere.
