Nice view of mountains in the distance from the front porch. The building itself looks pretty cool. The staff was very attentive and did a great job with laundry as well. They let me in in the middle of the night when I arrived and were very friendly to me and allowed a slightly late checkout without any fuss. Very nice place.

Richard 'Inn is Located at Pyi Htaung Su Road,near by Kalaw Market ,Thein Taung Monastery .Room rate is reasonable prices,Services are good and hospitality are perfected.Free Wifi access ,Laundry is good and fine,Food is delicious,assisted whatever we needed .

It's an just acceptable Inn in Kalaw and this is the second time we have been slept in this Inn during 11month.we moved to this from previous hotel I stayed one night stopped .My agent is already booked in previous one ,that is why I met again the Richard ‘Inn .Location is very accessible and the whole structure of this Inn is built in Wooden Structure,it is very strong,attractive and very match position of this town .My wife is very happy to live with the multi windows room and can be feeling of fresh air.,see the outside atmospheric conditions.They give extra blankets as we requested and attractive Breakfast is full stomach for us and we love local made food and coffee too.The owner Auntie opened the gate at the very early morning for our first time Trip.We very appreciated for this care .Cost is no problem for us but even room rate is very reasonable,service is acceptable and valuable for us.

Location is quite good.
Just aside the main road.
A few walks to Kalaw Myoma Market.
Also very near to ThuMaung Burmese cuisine.

Rooms are lovely, nice and clean.
They gave me an attic room. I feel like I'm staying in the Disney' world. :)

Staffs are friendly, warmly and helpful.
Delicious Breakfast.
Trekking service is available.
Mini bar and Restaurant attached.
Wifi is free. But you have to ask for this.

To summing up, for me a pleasant stay at lovely inn; in lovely town. ;)

Lovely Inn, Lovely Stay in Lovely Town !

Richard's Inn  where the comfortable while you staying.

The 'front of house' welcome wasn't very warm and facilities in the room were minimal. The room I was in had many windows which made it cold during the night. I took extra blankets from the unoccupied bed in my room, but this wouldn't have been an option if I was sharing. To be fair, they may have been able to provide extra blankets on request.

The breakfast was poor. As it was made to order, there wasn't any simple buffet option whereby guests can just grab food & eat/go without having to wait for it to be prepared. This was inconvenient as I was in a rush to join a hiking group one morning. The solution is simple: provide at least fruits and bread, as well as a toaster that people can use themselves. This eases the burden on the kitchen and also gives more control to guests over what and when they eat.

The WiFi was also out of order for my entire stay. Inconveniently, the Inn did NOT take credit/debit cards. This was annoying since Booking.com states that they have the technology to accept card payments: they do not. Whilst using cash must always factor in as a 'Plan B', it threw my cash budget out for the holiday. Not the end of the world of course, but still frustrating. 

Not the best place: get the basics correct and this would be a much better place to stay...
