The property is near the lake with beautiful gardens. The staff are friendly, helpful and service-orineted. The rooms made out of bamboo and eco-friendly and very clean. Food is also great and abundant breakfast.

We stayed in one of the hotel’s bungalows which turned out to be a mini house with a huge lounge area, bathroom and separate bedroom and second WC. The bungalow retained its wood-panelled colonial charm (unsure if built during the colonial period or had successfully imitated the style) and was in very good condition. Also appreciated the electric blankets in the bed during the cold nights!

Service was impeccable. Incredibly friendly staff who did everything they could for us, from arranging our onward travel to inviting us to join their New Year’s Eve party! Two of the more senior staff also speak perfect English so nothing gets lost in translation. Highly recommended!

We came over from another hotel for a massage- 4stars- and a comfortable place to relax with a drink before dinner.
The bar area is beautiful, with local paper lights and wood: we had the surprise to taste very nice Myanmar wine.
Service is excellent too, with friendly staff.
The dinner was ok, we were delighted to have freshly baked bread after weeks of traveling away from Europe.
Watch out for the bill,as in all places in Myanmar, you maybe scammed on the exchange rate with dollars; they refused to be paid in kayats.

Great little hotel with extensive gardens.  Small pool which was cold and refreshing.   The room was huge but quite dark due to the amount of timber.  Staff were all extremely helpful and our evening meal was lovely.  Only had a one night stay here.

'Traditional-Homely'

Quiet spot in the Pindaya region

The room is large and pleasantly decorated in local style. Beds were OK but the bathroom was rather basic, open shower next to the toilet, washbasin with some toiletries, not really for the spoiled. Dinner was decidely average but the Myanmar beer is always tasty. Breakfast choice was also rather limited, no espresso available. Staff has very limited knowledge of English but is very pleasant. The hotel is close to a main road into Pindaya where farmers drive their noisy tractors into and from town so better to chose a cabin away from the road. We stayed only one night because we wanted to visit the famous caves.

I had not realised the area and the hotel would be so chilly.  This is my tenth visit to Myanmar and my problem is usually looking for aircon and trying to stay cool. I was so grateful for the electric blanket and thick blankets the hotel provided,  a nice touch was that the hotel turndown service put my blanket on for me.  There was plenty of hot water but the bath tap did not work. However, the mechanic was called and sorted out the problem.  I had chalet 310 andt this was a good walk from reception.

Wifi was only available in the reception area and the connection was weak.  The manager was very helpful and spoke excellent English but the other staff had a basic knowledge if that. My purpose for staying here was so I could visit the Blue Lagoon and the Manemaye Taung with its nine Buddhas.

Pindaya chalet hotel

I stayed here for 1 night as part of a tour.  This was fine as there was no TV or air conditioning.  The room was very basic but had tea/coffee/water/toiletries.  There was no bath, only a shower.  There were lots of mosquitoes and I was bitten within minutes.  There was a mosquito panel on a second door and windows.  The food was excellent.
