People were wonderful. Service excellent. The room was clean and the water hot.  It was cool but they had a heated blanket if you wanted. Bed was comfortable but pillows not.  The grounds were pretty.  Breakfast was good. The pool water looked dirty. Close to Pindaya Caves.

We stayed for two nights during the week of the villages yearly festival which is adjacent to the resort. It was great to have been able to experience this and walk through with our guide but be warned, the music is played all through the night. We woke at 6am and could still here music playing. It was difficult to fall asleep but once asleep we were fine as we’d been for a long trek that day. We were in one of the named chalets away from the main reception and it was lovely. Well maintained, clean and included a bath & separate shower. Although the shower wasn’t very powerful.
As these were wooden chalets it was cold at night & early morning so we were pleased to have the electric under blanket and dressing gowns. 
We only ate breakfast at the hotel but as there were only a few guests (about 12-14) the food was served freshly cooked and not buffet style. We had choice of how the egg was cooked, plus pancakes, fruit, toast and juice & tea/coffee. 
For dinner we ate at the Green Tea Restaurant about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, which I’ll review separately. 
After eating we had a drink at the hotel bar which was reasonably priced, 4000 Kyat for a large beer, 3000 for Cointreau or Jack Daniels. Both were large measures. 
The Wi-fi was good in the bar, restaurant and chalets but that may‘ve been because there weren’t many guests during our visit.
I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is spread over a large area which means that it feels a very pleasant place to spend time.

There are 2 rooms to each bungalow and we certainly felt we had a lot of space for our belongings.
The bedroom is nicely furnished and felt in good condition. The bathroom whilst of a very big size, did seem a bit old and dated and it would appreciate with some updating.
Everything worked fine in there, it just didnt feel as good as the rest of the room.

Similarly there is a swimming pool here but this had a reasonable amount of dirt at the bottom of it. Fine for paddling in to cool down but I wouldnt want to swim in it.

We had a musical welcome when we arrived which was an unexpected surprise and there are people who will take your bags to your bungalows.

The location of the hotel is good in that you are very near the lake and also within walking distance of the cave - though I would add it is up quite a hill. You can take the pedestrian covered walkway and make it part of the pilgrimage. Either that or drive up the road in 5 minutes.

I would definitely suggest you visit the paper umbrella shop which is very nearby as they are amazingly skilful and the products they sell and very cheap and look great. We really enjoyed learning about how they made them.

One Night in Pindaya

This hotel is just a big joke .... the place looks beautiful with the garden, but, with a closer look, you can see that what's supposed to be water foutains is just dirty water in a hole with some flowers, a lot of things looks like their not finished (wooden plank missing, door lock nearly broken, ...)  The rooms are freaking cold in the night and the bathroom is the freezer of the hotel ... And the restaurant, well, between the cat playing under the tables and the dog sitting in the entrance of the kitchen, I don't really know what to decide ... this is without the money that was missing from our bags (seen too late to be told) ... And with 2 facebook pages, one with only their publications and no possibility to give any rate, you know there's something wrong ... caught to be taught ...

To avoid

This hotel is really too much expensive for what it is... 
We paid approximatively 100€ for one night for 3 people.
The garden is really nice but for the rest...
The room is really cold at night, the mattresses are like just a wooden plank, the restaurant is si cold that it looks like a fridge.
The breakfast is correct but doesn't worth the stop at this hotel.
The summum is when we did the check out to pay the restaurant, they didn't accepted the credit card... then we didn't get the choice that going to an ATM in the city to pay. It's unacceptable when you go to an hotel and that's it's not indicated that the only way of payment is cash!
We thought we had finished with the bad surprises but... we asked then to book a taxi to go to the Inle lake. They booked it for us and the taxi was really inconfortable and whiteout climatisation. (The price was of 60 000 kyad, this is already expensive...)when we arrive the beginning of the city the taxi driver stopped by telling us that the hotel was too far away and that we needed to pay an extra 20 000 kyad to go to the hotel. That was unbelievable!!! 
This place was then a nightmare for us and my best advise is TO AVOID absolutely this hotel!!
