An email excellent hotel. Very clean, comfortable, and good service. A lovely breakfast too.

Excellent service the location is great the  staff are very accommodating and friendly. 
The rooms are very comfy and clean . 
Perfect stop over in Maputo 
Will def go back to this hotel. 
The parking is a squeeze if the hotel is full but it is safe and secure. 

I stayed here for 15 nights as I was in the city on business. 

I rate the stay very positive all round. The room was comfortable and clean. It was also quiet, which is important to me as a light sleeper. The WiFi worked well. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the restaurant was always open when I went there for meals. Favourite dishes were meia frango and frango suspeito. Overall the price for the hotel stay was very reasonable. I'll certainly be returning there during my next trip to Maputo.

The hotel was well located, close to several restaurants, a convenience store, a pharmacy and a dentist(!). The front desk staff spoke Portuguese, Spanish and English. All staff were attentive, helpful, polite. Lovely breakfast service, convenient and well worth the cost. Over three weeks, we (2 adults) stayed three times, twice for 4 nights, once for 2 nights. Modifications to reservations were handled easily and without penalty. I will stay at Hotel Africa Maputo again.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The receptionists were really helpful. the surroundings are very much clean.Will consider Hotel Africa again during my next stay in Maputo.

Stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Africa and enjoyed every minute. Clean, modern Hotel with your every call answered efficiently . Staff were helpful and very attentive.  Breakfast was amazing. Simply spectacular...
A breath of fresh air after more than two weeks in Mozambique. I stayed here just one night before returning home. The Hotel is beautiful ... it has a modern and tasteful decor, we felt comfortable, safe and at home all the time. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice and everything works flawlessly. Exemplary cleaning. Breakfast did not have the opportunity to try once I left very early for the airport, despite that they prepared a lunchbox with a basic snack to take with me which was very pleasant. The hotel also provides transportation to the airport which is very convenient. In my case, we did not pay for transport since it was kindly offered by the hotel, but I think even if you have to pay something it will always be better than a taxi.
They have closed park for the car, safe and free.
Fast internet and throughout the hotel at no additional cost.
Spectacular view of the city from the higher floors.
Super well located, close to everything, ATM, pizzeria, market, hospital ...

Summarizing was a very good experience. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Maputo.

We had a very large group of about 45 and this hotel was beyond amazing in serving us all. The rooms were clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and professional.

I was really pleased with my stay at Hotel Africa. A friendly atmosphere, everyone is keen to help out, and I even got some more peculiar wishes cared for - like having access to the roof for my antennas (being a radio amateur). Good and safe location, clean and comfortable rooms. I would like to call this my home in Maputo and will stay here whenever I come back. Thank you!

Very positive all round

Arriving at the Hotel it was exactly as conveyed in the online photos.
Reception staff was very professional and conscientious in handling the check-in. All health and hygiene precautions are in practice and enabled. 

Overall, the staff ensured every request was what you wanted, catering accommodated us whether it was an on or off menu request.

Despite being downtown, it was surprisingly tranquil inside the hotel with well sound proofed rooms. The layout afforded an easy escape to the secured restaurant upper deck or roof top for early morning sunshine or late night stargazing skylights.

Certainly a repeat option when in town.

Good and friendly place to stay

I was pleasantly surprised to find myself impressed with this hotel. The hotel is quite new and modern. The room service food was good. Plenty of taxis out the front. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are very clean and they also have a safe and a desk. I stayed on the 8th floor and the view was brilliant! I would happily stay again. Thanks again!

Impressed - great value

I was always skeptical to stay overnight in Maputo,after some research done I found this Hotel online and were more than happy,and will definitely book my next business trip.The staff were very friendly and eager to assist especially with our loads of luggage.The owner also interact with us which made us feel more at ease and comfortable.

Highly recommended

I've spent a night at this hotel while visiting Maputo. Room was well equipped and clean. Bathroom was clean as well. The room was at the top floor, so views of the city were quite spectacular. 
Buffet for breakfast had a good choice of food and the atmosphere in the dining hall was friendly. Free, guarded parking is available; we've booked it ahead.
The only downside was the fact that in the morning of the departure, when we have returned to the room after breakfast, we saw the staff have already removed all the towels and sheets. We have talked to receptionist about this and recommended they avoid doing this in the future and he has kindly apologised for it.  
Hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood and is close to downtown, as well as the beach.

A good  place  to stay

Wish WiFi was better.  I could not complete my business with the small amount of Wi-Fi time allowed per use.  It seems that a business oriented hotel would make WiFi available for longer periods of time.
