Hotel Saint-Antoine

I've given this hotel 5 stars as our room was bright and warm which in Tafraout we had trouble finding. Staff were professional and helpful and breakfast was good. One night there was a very noisy party which the receptionist did warn us about (and invited us to!) and it was no prob as we were staying a long time so one night of disturbed sleep wasn't an issue - but it would be worth checking this when you book in. There is a great terrace for reading/sunning yourself and there was a pool which wasn't usable when we visited in winter but was big and would be great in summer. Only downfall was the smell of smoke - especially downstairs as there are a lot of male smokers (non guests) who seem to come for the WIFI. The cleaning ladies seem to never stop cleaning so the place is spick and span however there is also the smell of detergent everywhere in morning! Rent good bikes from shop opposite the Kasbah restaurant and go explore the area. Misinmen - traditional pancake/flaky bread is sold on stand near/other side of road of Sahara bus ticket office.
