Lovely riad. Extremely friendly staff. Aziz was helpful with parking our car and making sure we had everything we needed. Sana'a was wonderful at breakfast, everything was homemade. You could hear the birds in the morning. A lovely place to wake-up in.

Very welcoming staff and charming setup. The patio has plants and nice rooms attached. The bedrooms and suites are color- and tasteful.
If coming back to Rabat, Oudaya is first choice.
Kasbah Oudaya is easy walking distance.

After a business meeting, I checked in at Riad Oudaya for two nights. It was really worth while and gave the Morocco stay the final jewel in the crown. Beautifully decorated, homely, nice staff and lovely meals. Just loved it and my colleagues agreed!


I disagree with the previous review. We had a lovely 2 days. The Riad has a beautiful courtyard and overflowing with spring flowers. Suite on top floor was vey comfortable and well appointed. Hot water was warm-ish but not inconveniently so. 

Breakfast was good and Betiya (the "cold lady") was actually very warm and caring. We got along fine even though she didn't speak much English. 

Pierre lives in another beautiful Riad at the Mellah. He kindly invited us over for tea but our schedule didn't allow us time although we would have liked to. We are outside in the Medina and seafront so didn't eat dinner at the Riad. 

The Riad is located on a main path (quite standard for Medina's in Morocco) and not "sketchy" or unsafe. 

Would we have liked Pierre to be there and his staff English speaking ? Yes. Did it affect our stay ? No.

Beautiful place, lives up to its reviews as a B&B Riad

Beautiful!

A jewel in the upper part of the Medina

Excellent place

Our stay was in August 2016. The room was adequate and did have some nice elements and it's own charm. However, for the price we stayed at far nicer Riads including in Rabat, on our first leg of our trip. There was no air conditioning, and the WiFi is only available in the courtyard, the staff do not speak English and our limited French was not adequate for conveying our needs. These things are mentioned in the listing, but not obvious unless you read closely.

Most concerning was that we felt a lingering feeling about a lack of security or honesty. The guide suggested from the Riad and was negotiated through the Riad, was 200Dh but when we returned to our room, it was listed as 50Dh in the room information. Then when my daughter was out shopping she watched the guide "negotiate" prices on her behalf, only to realize he was likely keeping a portion for himself when the shopkeeper tried to give him change for my daughter and the guide waved it away motioning for him to be quiet. 
We were approached by another guest who spoke Spanish to us after hearing our conversation to be very careful of our belongings and in this particular Riad. I am not sure if this is pervasive or was just a rare thing for our visit, but I now see some similar reviews also mentioning the guide from the Riad as well.
