The unfailingly welcoming and helpful staff make this place. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Plus the rooms and courtyard were every bit as beautiful as the online pictures suggested. Location was ideal: right on the edge of the action and yet tucked away on a quiet side alley where even the otherwise ubiquitous motorbikes seldom ventured. Very close to key attractions like the Bahia Palace and the main Synagogue and surrounding Jewish quarter, and within easy walking distance of all the main souks and other principal sights of the Medina. There was a good choice of restaurants nearby too. We especially liked Si Said Restaurant - delicious food, beautifully presented and accompanied by a good choice of wine. Finally, I'd like to recommend arranging transfers and day trips through the Riad. Abdou, Dar Najat's driver, was a pleasure to deal with and imparted a lot of knowledge about the country but with a light touch. Never earnest or boring. Just right for a fascinating day trip over the Atlas to Ait Benhaddou, which included a stunningly beautiful return route off the beaten track.
