We were apprehensive when our driver walked us down a narrow, bustling alley which was full of vendors, slabs of meat hanging and motor bikes, scooters and vans rushing by ! However a few yards along he turned right and took us to the door of our Riad. We entered into a peaceful haven, where we were greeted warmly and treated to mint tea and pastries. Jawad, the manager, provided us with a map and explained how to get around to nearby attractions and the souks. We stayed for 3 days and it was so lovely to return after an exhausting day to relax on the roof terrace with a glass or two of wine. Breakfasts were different each day and were delicious. We didn't eat dinner, preferring to try local eateries, but guests who did said the food was very good. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The Riad was beautiful, traditionally decorated and extremely comfortable. It was a great place to stay and we intend to return soon. We had arranged return airport transfer through the Riad and were so glad we did so !
