We stayed for two nights. Food was excellent. Rooms had only basic amenities, but very comfortable. Abdul and Mohammed were particularly nice and arranged to serve MInt tea whenever we wanted. The view of the Medina is spectacular from the roof. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful experience

Abdul and mustafa made sure we had an unbelievable stay. Great customer service, brilliant roof top view, free tea all day! Abdul was extremely helpful as he even drove us with his bike at 11pm to the coach station and helped us to buy tickets for the next day. Definitely recommend it. 

Brilliant stay

Our experience was mixed, like some of these reviews.
The English speaking manager/agent was helpful in guiding us from the parking area in the late evening, which would have very hard to find otherwise.  He also ensured we didn't get overcharged for parking.  We left by taxi, having returned our hire car, to the airport very early, and were guided through the medina before dawn: again very welcome.
The booking site is let down by less than transparent pricing.  Charges are added to the headline price for heating or air-conditioning..  Air-conditioning was put on when we asked. Adding city tax is the norm, but not these other extras. We were given some talk about the room being 'upgraded', which actually was quite a cramped room next to the lounge/reception downstairs, with functional but rather dilapidated bathroom. That said, the place is fine for the price bracket, but it would be nice to know what it was upfront.
The kitchen staff spoke didn't speak French or English, but were friendly.
The view of the medina from the top terrace is well worth seeing.

Reasonable, budget place in the medina

Hotel was reserved and we were asked to pay just entering in the reception. We wanted to see the rooms first. We were brought to another building and finally we were told there were not free rooms. The guy in charge asked us to sleep in a cellar and didn't offer a help for what we reserved for.

The guy in charge, was completely agressive and not helping at all.

Horrible hotel DO NOT GO HERE!

First of all I have travelled all over the world and understand there are different levels of hotels and comforts. Yes this is a budget hotel and I was too sucked into the good ratings it got, however I now am dubious about its rating. I suspect the rating are done by low budget back packers who just need a place to stay overnight. I booked it via booking.com advertised as a luxury king double with private bathroom. We ordered a taxi via hotel and it was in terrible state ,my girlfriend was hot as the ac didn’t work and was given a broken handle from the car door to operate the window. When we got there  my first room was a cell no bigger than the bed and a window 1 foot by 1 the roof leaked and the bathroom was across the corridor which the guests used, no room to even put a suitcase. I complained and was given another room the next day on the roof top. It was better but not much, the rooms are advertised at 16sqm these were no more than 9! We ate one night as it’s not the best place to walk after dark and was charged 8 euro each food was ok but I was annoyed as it states 5 euro on their website. Ac and water where intermittent. The shower was horrible with peeling paint in both rooms. Please bare in mind the rooms advertise in the pictures are big and there are only approx. 4 of these the others rooms are extremely small and are horrible. Others have written the same. The hotel does not state you will get a cell when you book! False advertiseing! The charges at the end of the stay can only be described as a con. You get charged for ac and heating at the same time. Funny thing is there is not heating in this hotel and it was 30c ? The guy who speaks English seems polite and accommodating but be aware he only wants to butter you up so he can make money. I was shocked to know he sold a private day tour for 50 dollars for a group of 4 just walking around the local area should be not more than 10 euro. Absolute joke as most locals don’t even earn that in a week.  The other guy who speaks little English worked very hard. I complained to hotel and was told by the English speaking guy put a bad review he doesn’t care!, I came home and had no joy with bookin.com I complained to the hotel they didn’t even bother replying to my message, we ending up booking into a 4 star modern hotel on the last night as we couldn’t take it much longer. Overall don’t stay here unless you are desperate. It’s not worth it not as described. It spoiled our holiday. Please be warned  do not stay in this hotel!
