We came to this hostel through a friend's recommendation and we could not have been happier. The location is great - right at the heart of the medina and close to everything - and all the amenities work very well.
The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Simon made sure we felt right at home and helped us with great tips of where to visit and eat.
Overall, a very nice hostel at a very nice price.

Very cosy and friendly place 

Had bed bugs and we were told that he had not had this the night before we were there. We ended up finding out later from people that had also stayed there a month ago that he told them the same thing.

The mattresses are good which guarantees a good rest, offer free towels and no breakfast included (although there is a small kitchen on the terrace) It is reasonably clean and the attention is good.

A good balance between quality and price.

We stayed here for only one night. Highlights include the professional and very friendly staff and the location, which is right in the heart of the Medina of Essaouira, without it being too loud at night. I'd say that hygiene wise it could have been a bit better, the toilets were not very clean and the blankets we got weren't either.

However, great backpacker vibe, relaxed atmosphere.

The hostel can be quite hard to find and once you have found it, don't miss the white doorbell on the sidepost of the door. Incessant knocking doesn't work ;-)

Fine hostel

Wonderful hostel in a wonderful little town! The hostel staff are friendly not only because it's their job, but because they really enjoy getting to know the guests and spending time together. The evenings in the yard were always very social and beautiful, with good music from the guitar and from the little box. :) Rooms and bathrooms are totally fine and the whole hostel is very nicely decorated. For me, the Green Milk Hostel quickly felt like a piece of home, and the farewell fell accordingly heavy. Thank you very much for the great time! <3

A piece of home!

This was one of the sociable and friendly experiences we had throughout our trip. Simo and Abdel are doing a fantastic job bringing people together and making you feel at home away from home. Jam sessions and philosophical contemplation, tea and laughter. It was hard to say goodbye (and actually involved a tear or two)

We have a new family!

Perfect place to relax for a couple days. 

We stayed in the private room and we really liked it. We booked it directly with them and it was 180 dh/ night (2 people).
There are some common areas and a kitchen. Bathrooms are shared. 
The staff is very friendly and make you feel like at home. 
Good location inside the medina (anyway the medina is quite small). 

Pd: The nicest cat I’ve ever met lives outside the hostel, he'd appreciate some petting ;)

Charming hostel

We arrived in Essaouira to spend our last nights in Morocco, tired of the heat and chaos of Marrakech. We were suddenly taken away by the pictures and reviews of this beautiful hostel, which were fully respected. The facility is especially suitable for young people who love backpacking trips, with mixed rooms, but with the possibility of staying even in a private room or in little houses, which are private. The environment is simple, sparse and folkloric. The staff is wonderful, always available, kind and very agile in English (which is not to be missed at all). It is certainly one of the places that I will bring to the heart of the whole vacation in saying that it is really different. And in front of a hostel, usually a little house, it is private. The environment is simple, sparse and folkloric.

An oasis near Marrakech

The people are very welcoming!! easy to find in the medina. I highly recommend. I had several questions about Essaouira and the staff were happy to help me. Thank you!

It's a lovely hostel.

It's a typical hostel, so it's only suitable for couples. Very bright-eyed, also quite cool in March. No beds until midnight because the other backpackers are active. Rooms are small but sufficient. Clean and otherwise OK if you don't expect too much. Internet doesn't work with every smartphone, wrong WiFi settings on the host spot. No house key, so ring the bell, someone's already opening.
