What an amazing discovery! This is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Chefchaouen. 
The riad is completely renovated in a very stylish, soft contemporary Moroccan design.Quiet , no frills but absolutely stunning. The rooftop terrace, with a spectacular view of the Medina, is to dye for especially at sunset. The owner is really welcoming. 
The best way to get to dar zambra is from the road on top of the Medina, otherwise you have to climb a little bit to get there.

Stay here - trust me! Lovely spot, perfect location, and the staff are wonderful. Breakfasts are wonderful and served on its rooftop. I wanted to sleep outside on a patio one night and they went the extra mile to provide a mattress and pillow, etc - even if they thought I was nuts. Only caveat: they are hard to contact via email, etc. 

Very pleasant stay here, they were only to happy to help us. They arranged a taxi to Tangier for us at a good price. Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast on the upstairs terrace was very good and the view was picturesque. Would stay there again anytime.

Superb accommodation, ideally situated, with a stunning view from the rooftop terrace. Rooms nicely done and very clean - warm and very friendly staff, willing to help with any suggestions and keen to hear how your day was. Breakfast complete and well taken care of. Recommended!

We had a lovely two night stay at Dar Zambra. The view over Chefchaoun is spectacular and the call to prayer added so much atmosphere to the experience. Both days  breakfast was served on the roof and it was terrific, as was the one dinner we had there. The staff were helpful and charming and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a great one. The rooms were small, but clean, tidy and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again were I to visit the area.

Dar zambra is a great place we enjoyed a lot and it was a very nice experience. The hospitality, with a delicious breakfast for free, and the wonderful colors in the alleys, I recommend visiting the place and visiting the beautiful city of Chefchaouen, the people are wonderful and there is safety

Lovely rooms, great views of sunrise and sunset from rooftop, lovely owners who made us feel welcome right away. We had dinner served on the roof on our last night here that was probably the best lemon chicken tagine of our whole trip. We were delighted to stay here, and it was worth the lengthy “climb” through the Medina!

Dar Zambra is both near a carpark and also near the main walking street... 
and it is not costly...
and the staff on duty during my stay looks like Zac Afron. (a bonus eye candy for the ladies) :)
Will definitely stay with them once more if I were to visit Chefchauen again. Cheers!

The staff at Dar Zambra are what set this place apart. They are more than accommodating should you need anything from a great restaurant recommendation, cab, to a different room! I accidentally booked for one person and was traveling with another. Because we were staying 3 nights, they were able to provide us a different room. Despite the rooms being smaller than what we were used to, coming from Fes and Marrakech, it was not an issue for us and we found ours very cosy. The terrace provides great views of the sunset and sunrise. The breakfast is very good and enough to keep you full until dinner (at least for us). It's a great and cosy place to stay in Chefchauen!

Very friendly staff, fantastic location and view. Cozy and confortable, the central square is very nearby. An incredible breakfast is served on the rooftop. I recommend the affordable and delicious dinner!

Unique, beautiful place to stay 

An amazing experience

Worth the walk through the Medina!

We stopped here for one night because of the views, but unfortunately it was a rainy night. What made this place good was the hosts, they were great. We had room number 4 and it was just like the pictures. The room was small, the bed was comfy, private bathroom, water was hot and great views despite the rain. The nights are cold in the mountains so we turned on the heater and used the extra blanket. Hosts provided a menu for local place that delivered food. Breakfast was delicious, a traditional breakfast with tea, Moroccan pancakes with the best tasting honey I have had, maybe because it was raw not sure, but I wish I bought some home with me. The only downside is that voices do travel from other guests that were sitting in common area outside of our room. Make sure you tell your driver to take you to the top of Medina to walk down as we walked up the steep hill from the bottom in the pouring rain. Travel light because you will struggle with large suitcases. In the morning they called a cab to take us to the bus station that cost 50dh because he came to the door, if not it is only 20dh.

Cozy Room on a rainy day 

After a long drive from Casablanca, we got to Chefchouaen late...but we immediately sensed the warm welcome and mountain village charm upon arrival at this lodging.  We scrambled up to the rooftop for an evening view...and what a view!  If it weren't so cold (in the 30s!), i would love to lounge out there for a couple of hours!  Nice staff, by the way.

Cosy Stay in Chefchauen

Small little B/B in a great location. Room was tiny with one side of the bed up against the wall so difficult at night for us oldies needing the loo!  

Drop off point above the hotel for cabs which was great. Steep steps down to the square but that’s Chefchaouen for you. Well worth the climb. 

Awoken each morning by the call to prayer from the mosques at 05:30 which were very loud. Also music from the square on both nights kept us awake (on one night until almost 3am) so left the city cream crackered. Mind you not the hotels fault at all. 

Breakfast was decent enough and served up on the rooftop terrace and the staff were helpful. 

For the money Dar Zambra was okay and would recommend it as a no frills place to stay.  

Ok but that’s all.  

this pleace is a little jewel in the old city. 
The room and all the house is very very clean, the breakfast was amazing, we noticed all the details and the care they put.
The owner and the family are very kind and always smiling, they are always present for everything you need, and they made us felt like home. 
I really suggest this location!!!
