We stayed at the Villa Agapanthe the night before our flight out of Fes. It's an easy 15-20 minute drive from the airport, but feels like it's in the quiet countryside. (Note, if you're driving there yourself like we did, be aware that you have to drive to the very end of a long, potholed, dirt road that absolutely feels like you're going the wrong way). The staff was super helpful and welcoming, and were able to make us a quick dinner when we arrived starving at 9 pm with no warning for their kitchen. We wish that we would have had more time here, as the pool looked very nice and the family suite was very spacious for the four of us with multiple sitting areas. The showers are very hot with incredible water pressure which was a huge benefit to folks arriving straight from the desert. This wouldn't be a very convenient location to use as a pace to explore the Fes medina, but for a lodging near the airport and the major highways south I would highly recommend it and stay here again.
