We enjoyed mint tea and then sat on the rooftop at sunset to listen to the call to prayer and watch the city end the day, and we had an excellent meal prepared by Mohamed and his wife. The wifi worked well, everything was very clean, the AC kept us cool overnight on the hottest days of July, and it was impressive how cool the courtyard stayed despite 110 degree temperatures outside. If you stay here, remember you are staying somewhere historic and well-preserved. It won't be identical to all the comforts of a chain hotel, but it will be a beautiful, peaceful, and quiet experience. Like everywhere in the medina, it is a bit hard to find, so make sure you pay attention to the directions before arriving, and don't be afraid to hire a porter to help get your luggage there. Also, be aware there are staircases to get to the bedroom and the rooftop. If you don't mind the stairs, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views inside and out. It felt wonderful to stay here, both for the ambiance and for the kindness of the host. I highly recommend it!
