Beware, my daughters smartphone was STOLEN while on a horseback riding tour offered by this hotel. My daughter booked a horseback riding tour yesterday for 2 adults and 1 child. One of the young tour guides STOLE my daughters smartphone from her backpack. When my daughter realized her phone was stolen, she went to a local internet cafe to report it as stolen in the apple app. The phone was already turned off. She contacted the tour owner Manuel, who asked her how much she was willing to offer as a reward for the phones return.

We spoke with a reputable tour guide around the corner who confirmed these guys are dishonest. Stay away and book from an honest tour company.

This hotel is half a block from the central park on the promenade of Guadalupe and is pretty good if you're looking for economy and location.Don't ask for anything else.It's to go to sleep and there.If you're going to party in San Cristobal you'll be fine.

Basic hotel and well-located.

Hotel Bueno, bonito y barato, located on the most beautiful sidewalk of San Cristóbal de las casas en Chiapas, Es un hotel simple, which has the basic services for the tourist, I made the reservation by phone and was asked for the details, contact number y listo, I didn't have to pay or leave credit card details, I made the cash payment at the time of check-in, by the way very economical, as I arrived early, they were kind and offered to keep my luggage for a few hours while I was unoccupied the room that corresponded to me, the beds and the room in general clean, the beds well, the bathroom has water that corresponds to the climate of San Cristobal, the receptionist lady, I think it's called Eneyville, the hotel is convenient at the place, when we were staying, we asked him if he wanted to visit the hotel, and he even went for a full distance, and he said he loved to walk around the hotel, and I think that the hotel has a very safe way of getting around, but I think it's a very convenient way to get around the hotel.

With 3 B's. Well, nice and cheap.

Me and my husband visit San Cristobal twice a year and we stay at San Martin almost every time, I say almost cause twice it was packed and had to go elsewhere.
The service is super friendly and helpful.
YES the rooms are very standard, but if you check when booking this is a 3 star hotel, and you pay for a 3 star hotel, if you want fancy rooms and fancy service then pay for it!... this hotel is totally worth the price, the location is amazing, near everything! Definitely will come back.

Amazing price and location!

The hotel is located right in the center of San Cristobal, a few steps from the cathedral. The room is not very large, furnished with the minimum necessary. The cleaning is daily. The bathroom with a small clean window and quite comfortable. In the evening you can hear the music of mariachi coming from the square and the main street. Breakfast is very scarce. I asked for milk to put in the coffee but there was none! The staff, however, are very kind and willing to give information. You can pay with a credit card.

Central, clean, without claims

Worst hotel I have ever come across! 
 I stayed here with a group of friends and all of our rooms were disgusting
The mattresses so old they are probably from a century ago and they are so hard that all of us had trouble sleeping
My friend even requested to move rooms but her new room wasn’t any better

There was basically no hot water after one of us had a shower so we were cold and had to endure a freezing shower too. 
 It looks like housekeeping just hosed the whole bathroom down because one day when I came back to my room there was water everywhere!  even on the toilet seat! 

 I also accidentally left my running shoes there and contacted the hotel the next day to arrange for someone to come pick them up but they refused to get back to me and kept them instead!
