Everything is really close from the hostel, location is really good! Rooms and hostel were nice and well decorated. Price was cheap for a hostel in this expensive area. Staff is amazing, they are really warm people. Please keep on going like this.

I stayed at the hostel for 5 nights and they litterally treat you like family its a small hostel but its perfect to rest, the beds are confortable and the staff is very friendly totally recomended if you are looking for a quiet place and good price also u can use the kitchen which is a great thing if u dont want to go off your budget

They are no longer here. They have moved elsewhere. Please check for the other location. It hasn't been updated just yet. But the other location is great. Definitely worth the money if travelling on a budget and don't mind walking

This is a basic but very good hostel 10 mins walk from the main bus terminal, beaches, and Avenida 5 (the main street of Playa).  At first I thought this might be a little far out, but it turned out to be a great location. The walk to the action isn't very far at all and there is a lot of great stuff, like places to eat, in between which I would never have discovered otherwise. Also close to supermarkets. 

I checked out various other hostels but ended up concluding that this one was a better bet and stayed for a while. Others there also stayed for a while, so presumably they liked it. It is reasonably priced, clean, welcoming, and has everything I needed, including WiFi and kitchen. The place has an easy vibe. I got on well with the people I met there and had some great conversations. It is chilled out and appears to attract nice people in their 20s and 30s (when I was there anyway). Not so much a loud party place for groups of gap year students, but I can only speak of the time I was there. The place is fairly small and has a nice communal sitting area with nice music playing. It was only half full in the time that I was there; but I'm sure it would be capable of accommodating more people easily. 

The two people who manage the place are Carlos and Celeste. Both are very friendly and helpful. Carlos kindly lent me his phone a few times after I lost mine, and is an excellent guitar player with fine taste in music (in my honest opinion). They both kindly put after-sun cream on my back after I got burnt on the beach. You can't expect much more than that!! The family who own the place are sometimes present in the main area during the mornings. They were very friendly too.

All in all, I was pleased. If you want something right on top of Avenida 5, or a loud party atmosphere, or swanky details like a jacuzzi on the roof, then this place might not be for you. But otherwise, I think it is a good bet and worth a try.

It's not the hostel's fault that they have a bar as a neighbour,so make sure to bring earplugs with you.
Beds in room Carey (6 women dorm) could be replaced. Also there's only 4 lockers. Still enough space for luggage and everything!

Garden very nice to hang out. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Cleaning every day. Close to restaurants, shop, beach and ADO bus station.

This was completely worth every single peso and perfect pitstop.

Enjoyed my stay here for 2 weeks, the owner as well as all of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. A/C kicks on at 10 pm every night which is really nice. Full kitchen as well as a fridge for everyone. Nice outdoor area to hang out as well.

I was here in mid-August for about 3 days. The owner was extremely welcoming and was able to advise us different places to go, such as local (both trendy and less expensive ones), places where to eat and tours to do. The air conditioning is automatically switched on at 10 pm, in order to allow a peaceful sleep, and cleaning are done every morning around 9 am. We did not try the breakfast, but the fridge is available to all (in case you wish to buy something to cook or for bottles) and you can cook easily. Recommended for those on a budget.

Hostel is 10 min walk away from the main bus and ferry station, 5th avenue and the beach.
I have stayed in the big dorm room and had a comfortable stay. There is AC from 10PM to 6AM which will give you comfortable sleep during hot nights. There are only 4 lockers on 12 beds, so be aware you may not get one if all lockers are taken. Wi-fi may not work fine in the rooms, but in common area works perfectly. 
Bathroom was clean, but curtains do not cover everything. Both bathrooms are unisex and it gets uncomfortable when other gander excidantelly gets in.
Kitchen is clean and great to use. There is free simple breakfast.

We stayed for two nights, and were very comfortable here. They made us feel so at home and were just lovely. The rooms were basic but clean, shared bathroom was reasonably clean. 
It's a little out from the action by the beach (but we appreciated that to be honest) but still a 10 min walk to restaurants, beach etc and 5 mins to the supermarket where we bought things to cook in the big kitchen. 
We struggled a little with the heat as the air con is on a timer, so only comes on late at night until 6am so we woke up in an absolute sweat and couldn't really retreat back to a cool room during the day if we needed some respite. 
Other than that, thumbs up. Would recommend.

THEY HAVE MOVED

The staff were very warm and welcoming. Cooking facilities were available, as well as a small breakfast. The hostel was quiet and I slept well. There was no air conditioning, unfortunately, just a ceiling fan, which didn't suffice. The bathroom toilet didn't flush and there was no shower head, just an open pipe. The hostel is quite old and is in dire need of renovations.
