Salini Resort

My son and I (12y) loved this hotel. Our room was spotless and everywhere was gleaming. Helpful and friendly staff at Reception, the breakfast room and Vecchi Italian (situated on the 2nd floor). The resort has an indoor pool which is connected to the spa, an outdoor 'adults only' pool, and a fabulous outdoor infinity pool. There were always plenty of sunbeds available (sun or shade) and people were good about not reserving early in the morning. Towels are complimentary at the pool, with your token which you exchange daily. We spent our hotel time at the Infinity Pool where they have a bar and pizza ordering, ice-cream and snacks etc. There is a small games room with electronic arcade games and air hockey etc. The view from the infinity pool is spectacular. We had breakfast included and there was plenty of choice and it was always hot and fresh. The coffee was fabulous! You can choose to eat on the balcony which overlooks the sea, or be air conditioned inside. There are 3 places to eat at the hotel in the evening. We were visiting on a diving holiday so we ordered the pizza room service several nights as well - delicious and available until 10pm. There aren't really any walkable places for food nearby, but the hotel has a bus stop right outside (both directions) and we used 'Bolt' to get to wherever we needed. Bolt was €18 to the airport on Saturday evening (25 mins drive approx). The bus would have taken us for €2.50 pp but you need to change at the hospital stop, so we chose the direct option of Bolt. The little beach opposite was nice for a morning and my son enjoyed snorkeling there. We didn't visit the waterpark (5 mins drive) but it looked fun. The landfill site - it's a hill and doesn't look like a landfill site, and no smells or anything like that at all from it the week we were there, and the temperatures hit 34°.
