Fantastic service received. We're were in desperate need after another property ( not connected ) fell through and we need to find somewhere to stay for 3 nights with 4 children and 2 adults. 
Very helpful speedy reply and communication. Cleaners quickly changed bedding and checked it was ready and 20 mins of booking it was ready. I appreciate this may not be possible every time but demonstrates the help offered.
The property is small but has been renovated to a good standard. Plenty of bedding, plates etc. The neighbourhood  is lovely and is very close to nearby towns and a decent convenience store. 
Highly recommend and would use again. 

Tiny house in venter of Malta. Near the main square of Zebbug. Kindly and helpful owner. Good roof terrace. Nearly the house is a awesome bakery. No tourist:)

Small but charming and conveniently located helpful owner

Tiny house in center of Malta

We booked this house at quite a good price for a week in November. We could have booked a room in a hotel for the same price, but I would rather be in amongst the locals and we thought having the extra space would be nice. (Two of us). 
We arrived around 7pm and there was no key in the dispenser, no problem, we rang and the owner contacted the key holder and she was there within 10 minutes. 
She was very helpful and showed us around the house and made sure we had everything. We asked where we could get supplies from and she actually took us in her car and waited whilst we did a shop! 
Back at the house we chose which bedroom we wanted, I took the top floor and my friend was on the first floor. Her bedroom was huge with a small bathroom and a walk out balcony over looking the main street. My room was on the top floor, good size with a tv, small window over looking the back alley and roof tops with access to the roof terrace (which was a great space!). 
The kitchen/diner has good size table, sideboard and a piano! There is an electrical hob with two rings, kettle, microwave and a toaster, so when buying things to cook, you have to take this into consideration. We cooked for 5 nights, so not a major issue. There could be a few more pans and utensils, but we got by. (Cheese grater would have been nice). 
We did have an issue on the second day with the electric blowing and we lost all power. We didn't realise at the time that this was the kettle getting wet and blowing the fuse. There is no real worktop, so the kettle is next to the sink, which isn't ideal. We contacted the owner and he responded later on in the day and explained what to do. 
My room was good, the bed was amazing, memory foam mattress and pillows which was lovely. I had access to the bathroom below, which was very modern, good size and with a huge shower head. Hairdryers in both bedrooms too. 
There is a washing machine on the first floor next to a landing area which has a single bed in, there are also a couple of fans here if you need them. 
There is an iron and a small top ironing board, but the lead is so short on the iron, it's difficult to use. 
We mainly stayed in the kitchen at night as the wifi does not work in the lounge area. This is quite a nice small area with a large sofa and a leather chair, basic but ok. 
There are loads of sockets all over the house, UK 3 pin sockets and USB sockets too which was nice. 

The house is on the main street running into the village and is about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop where you can catch buses to the main change over bus parks at Marsa Park and Valletta. (Marsa is 15 minutes away. Valletta is 30 minutes). From these, you can catch buses to anywhere on the island. At Marsa Park, there is a Lidl which is handy for getting supplies then jumping on the No. 61 back to the house. 

The village of Haz Zebbug is lovely, a huge church which is beautiful inside, small shops, restaurants and bars. Convenience store is open until 9pm. Bars open from early morning to late. There is a market on around three times a week selling clothes and fresh produce. 

The people were so friendly, chatting and waving every day and we walked by. We went into a local bar to buy a bottle of wine one night and ended up getting bought drinks, the bottle of wine at 5 euros and came out with free pies! 

I would definitely stay in the village again although it is a little out of the way, but it's very traditional which is nice. 

The mornings are very noisy, so don't expect a lie in! It starts with a cockerel at 6am, church bells at 7am, the first flight of the day at 7.30am which is accompanied by traffic going by from early too as it's the main road into the village. 

All in all, we had a fabulous week and we liked the house. There was a couple of issues with the electric and the toilet seats kept falling off, but nothing major and it was good value. Would I stay there again, maybe.

I'm not sure where to start ! 

Every morning of my stay I looked at the 8.1 Booking.com rating sign in the kitchen and wondered how ! I thought it was just my high expectations until two visitors from Germany arrived and they asked the same question.

In the last 18 months I have been on permanent holiday, visiting 12 countries and staying in around 30 differing levels of property and this (considering the cost) was the poorest.

Firstly the location - Zebbug is a definitely off the tourist trap which holds some novelty appeal for a couple of days only. Everything appears 'run down' in the town including the people whose average age appears to be 70 (at least you feel young here).  The main occupation here seems to be sitting on benches in the square for 8 hours a day. The only building of any architectural note was the church in the square the rest are drab run down properties. There are about 6 very small local bars around the square but these are very local and unappealing with very limited food menus and tables usually taken up by 4 locals spending 3 hours over one coffee between them all. 

Domus Luxurious, as its called, does not live up to its name. The workmanship in the house is shoddy and not well thought out,e.g., no kitchen work tops with electric plugs just a strange assortment of kitchen furniture of little practical use in cooking. Generally throughout the house the feeling is that the furniture has been bought randomly at an auction rather than carefully selected. The kitchen has no grill nor oven so cooking a meal has limitations. The kettle kept blowing the fuses ! The wifi does not work in the kitchen or lounge. The TV only has 10 local channels with nothing of interest on them so don't bring the kids here.

Room 2 has a balcony from which you can lookout at the rubbish and listen to the traffic or the building work that starts close by from 7am in the mornings. You need to keep the windows closed downstairs otherwise the building work dust blows in. Room 3 has a rooftop terrace but typical of the owner no thought has been given to enhance this, e.g., no plants, an old table and chairs instead of sun loungers, no BBQ. I have to say that at least the air-conditioning works in the bedrooms (but none downstairs) 

Every morning I woke up with a stiff back from an uncomfortable mattress and hard pillows. The bed linen also needs changing has its yellow with age and looks unappealing. Towels only changed weekly and I had to buy hand soap as the dispenser had not been filled.

I could go on much longer but generally I can't see why to come to Malta when much nicer islands exist close by, e.g., Sicily and other than its closeness to the national football stadium (why I chose it) I can not recommend this accommodation or Zebbug. Looking forward to getting home.
