You & Me by Cocoon Hotel

Wow. Just wow. Where do I begin? I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. The entire staff made me feel so special from start to finish. This is the area the resort really shines. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. Rooms: 10/10 We stayed in room 210 an over water villa with a water slide, and it was exceptional. I think I got really lucky because this villa is at the very end of the row which made it feel very secluded and private. However be advised this is a very far walk to the restaurant area which I don't mind because I needed to burn extra calories any way. Our room was cleaned twice per day and was absolutely spotless every time they cleaned. Special mention to our room boy Hassan who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. And his bed decorations were so amazing to come back to. Thank you Hassan and to the great house keeping team! Service: 10/10 The service we received from the staff at You and Me was fantastic. All the team members went out of their way to remember details about you such as your seating preferences, food and drink preferences. They even made time in their busy day to make small talk and learn about where your from and where they are from. This adds a level of personal connection that form a strong bond with the staff. Yes, you expect a 5 star hotel to have good service... but there is a difference between just "good service" and forming friendships. When I travel I intentionally try to find places that don't make me feel like I'm being served just because I'm paying for it. To me that is awkward, I'm looking for a deeper connection with the people and place I am visiting. This hotel does this really well. Food quality: 10/10 The food here was outstanding. There is a large variety of things to choose from and each thing we tried was delicious. If you wanted to modify something to your liking that was no problem for the chefs and you will always get what you ask for. Also it should go without mentioning but all fish here is so fresh and flavorful. Even for me so doesn't eat alot of fish, I enjoyed every fish dish. And don't get me started on the desserts. Everything and I mean EVERTHING we tried from the desserts was incredible. Watersports: 10/10 The "All You Can See" snorkeling tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We saw beautiful corals, too many species of colorful fish to count, turtles, and the star of the show a huge Manta Ray at a cleaning station. Special mention to Clara who always made sure we were safe and cared for during the journey. Clara clearly has a passion for what she does and it shows through her willingness to share her knowledge and her commitment to sustainably showing guests the hidden underwater world. Thank you Clara! One thing to mention is that there really isn't a house reef that you can snorkel to from the beach or jettys. You have to take a 5 minute boat ride to the reef they call "aquarium reef". Not a problem just something to note. Activities: 10/10 Maldivian night was so much fun. Loved the traditional song and dance performances. Love how they make it interactive. I even won an award for best dancer 😂 3rd Quarter staff party 🥳. Thank you so much for inviting us to the staff party it was so much fun! The theme was Havana Nights and even though it rained a little it didn't stop the party. Congratulations to all the staff who got promoted and the ones who were recognized for employee of the quarter. We got to meet with the corporate team including the General Manager and the Chief Operating Officer. They really invest in their employees and that is great. With all that said I wouldn't hesitate to book this resort again. We had an amazing time and all the staff care for you like family. I can't leave without giving special mentions to everyone who cared for us so well.
