Komandoo Maldives Island Resort

We took our time to choose where to go in the Maldives, as it was our first time there and we were celebrating a special birthday, so wanted it to be perfect. After doing our research and speaking with friends, Komandoo was our choice and it fully exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by the Manager, Ahmed Naseem and his wonderful team and made so welcome as soon as we stepped onto the island. We were taken to our jacuzzi beach villa, Manta 6, on the sunrise side of the island. Our room was immaculate and spacious and looked straight out over the white sandy beach and turquoise sea beyond, the view was simply breathtaking. The island itself is stunning, and the staff keep the grounds pristine. It is a small island, making it magical, just what you want from an island in the stunning Maldives. The plants are well established and attracts an array of wildlife, little lizards, geckos, bats and herons! The food at Komandoo is some of the best we have ever had. There was so much choice and it was all exceptional, compliments to the chefs! We also ate at the Aqua restaurant, a must during your stay, just remember to book it as soon as you arrive as it is very popular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Komandoo and can see why people return, we will one day, it really is exceptional and perfect in every way.
