Oaga Art Resort welcomed us with a burst of colour and creativity. The vibrant graffiti, bold murals, and playful designs make the island feel alive, while the natural surroundings blend beautifully with the resort’s bright and inviting style. Even the pools are decorated with stunning murals inspired by Maldivian folklore, telling stories through art as we swam or relaxed by the water. It’s a place where art, culture, and nature come together effortlessly, creating an atmosphere that instantly put us at ease. We had Riyaz as our butler, and he made us feel completely at home. He looked after every little detail and always had great suggestions to make our stay even more enjoyable. At Sobi Bar, Dhanushka went the extra mile to make our evenings fun, and Soraya at the main bar was always warm, welcoming, and full of smiles. If we ever had to choose one resort to keep coming back to, this would be the one. If you love animals, you’ll enjoy the company of friendly island residents such as hens, cats, and rabbits, along with the beautiful peacocks that add a lovely touch to the surroundings. What I love most is the dining experience. Instead of separate specialty restaurants, there’s one main restaurant divided into different sections offering a wide range of cuisines from around the world, along with a cold station filled with breads, cold cuts, cheeses, nuts, oils, and delicious desserts. You can truly choose whatever you’re craving. Veyoge Villas are connected by a small pool leading to Sobi Bar. Haruge Beach Villas have cozy round private pools perfect for families, while Bodu Haruge Beach Pool Villas are ideal for couples. The Water Villas offer a completely different experience, with stunning lagoon views, direct access to the ocean, and the most peaceful setting for those who want privacy and uninterrupted relaxation. The beaches are beautiful and full of natural life, and it’s amazing to see baby sharks swimming close to the shore. There’s evening entertainment every night, including karaoke, movie nights, and DJs, so there’s always something fun to do. Oaga truly delivers the perfect holiday experience every single time.
