Look no further this is the place to stay. This is my first time staying here. It is family run and owner Mohamed Shafeeq and his wife work as a team ! He responsive and speaks english well on whatsapp +960 791-7504. I recommend you book with him direct then booking.com as they take a big cut out of the money you pay them. He has a nice gentle manner and instantly made me feel at ease instantly. Reserving with Mohamed will be better as the rate will be reasonable. Let me tell you of my first hand experience being nervous about traveling to this island and not knowing what to expect. Mohamed is a fabulous! Helpful information: 1. When you first arrive in Maafushi airport go to to the info. desk. He will arrange to have a representative help you with the speedboat to his hotel on the island. 2. Don't change your money at airport or any one telling you there they will give you a better rate. Change your money with Mohamed he will for sure give you a much better rate. I missed this opportunity as I was worried that I needed money right away. I exchange $100 US with a person there saying he will give a better rate than the bank. He gave me 1600 Maldavian money. If had dealt directly with Mohamed I would have gotten 1700 instead. I was swindled 100 less. 3. He will meet you at the pier and will have a vehicle to take you and your luggage to his hotel with no charge. He brought me in his vehicle to show me all over Maafushi.. 4. Once there he will run you the rules of your stay free breakfast and by the way his wife makes the best tuna toast with cheese and scrambled eggs . It was best I ever and includes cappucino coffee with fresh cut fruit. He also made me grilled fish maldavian style for lunch. 5. My room was clean and with good air conditioning and my stay was comfortable and quite. No loud noise after hours. Also safe.. 6.Make you bring bug spray to avoid mosquito bites and sunscreen protection as the sun is very intense and you can burn without releasing it. Ladies and Gent where a hat to avoid your scalp burn. 7. Mohmed reccomended me a excursion to the private island called Sun Siyam Olhuveli , TUI Blue Olhueveli Romance & Dream Island total 3 islands on the resort. You can swim, relax and soak up the sun or take up an activity. Book this with him it is all inclusive with buffett food and drinks. This place is stunning and an absolute dream. Unforgettable experience from 8- 4:30 pm. to get there you will be taken by speedboat. The money I spent was well worth it. If you come all this way you have to see what Maldives is about. You can wear your bikinis here. 8. Maafushi does not allow bikinis.. 9.Maafushi has a lot activities, souvenir shops and restaurant to go to. Lastly this has been the best experience ever.. I would return to see Mohamed, wife and his lovely older son. They are a wonderful family. Who are hard working down to earth who makes you feel like their family. I will tell all friends, family and colleague to come and stay at Sunshine View. I only wish I met them sooner. Mohamed likes fishing and needs a fish finder. If anyone can fulfill his wishes this will be the greatest gift for him.
