Dhonfulhafi Retreat Guest House

We’ve just got back after a wonderful 2 weeks staying at Dhonfulhafi inn. Haneef and his team were fantastic and Maalhos is incredibly special. The accommodation is clean and functional, and although it cannot compete with a resort for splendour, the whole experience more than made up for that - although we visited a resort on a day trip for fun, we were really happy we had gone for Maalhos for the holiday. For our family it was the brilliant balance of luxurious relaxing time whilst still having a sense of ‘real travel’ - by which I mean getting a glimpse of a different way of life as well as another world of crystal clear sea and palm trees. The weather for our two weeks (the first two weeks of August) was perfect - about 32 degrees C every day, with just a few short sharp showers of rain over the whole time, which were themselves fun. The one hassle were the mosquitos and thus the need to ‘cream up’ with repellant - though Haneef kindly provided bottles of that. Overall it was a very special time that we will all remember for a very long time, and Haneef played a very big part in that.
