Lovely place to stay: quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes walk from the beach & will lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

The place is exelent as a backpackers stay  cheap and a walking distance from the beach and restaurants of all choices There is a bar in the lodge were they serve good drinks and put lovely music good ambience.I advice you to book the air conditioning room or els you are in for a very hot night sleep.The owner and staff are very helpful

My go to place to stay in Langkawi, very quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes walk from the beach. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Car parking is just in front of property and very convenient. The staffs are friendly. Condition of room and surrounding is neat and clean.

It was the best accommodation in Langkawi island. Many good and cheap restaurants locate near the lodge. Room is comfortable and clean. Distance to the beach only 5-7 minutes by walk.

great and safe area. walking distance from main beach street, and they rent scooters in case you would like to travel quicker and farther. staff were lovely and always smiling. Cute little hammocks out front and the rooms were spacious, AC worked great and there's a lovely cafe down the road (Kasbah). Beautiful property and was nice and quiet, the lot also seemed to be maintained fairly meticulously. Only downside was our sheets were actually just a blanket, however with the heat you don't really need one anyways. Enjoyed our stay!

Awesome bungalow at a low price. Basic but clean, spacious and great location.

Rainbow Lodge is a budget accommodation. It is excellent for it’s price. Hot water, AC, clean, tours and scooters can be booked directly through them as well. The beds and pillows aren’t 5-star but I slept fine.

Cheap and perfect

The hotel is very close to the beach and lots of places in a very popular area. We had our own cabin, which was a pleasant surprise, and it made it feel a bit like glamping. The cabin was big, however dated and not very homey. We had an AC unit in the room which was nice, but found it hard to sleep on the bed. The location was wonderful and for the price it was pretty decent.

Advantage: -The location is good where going to Pantai Cenang main street is quite near.- independent houses and you can park your rental cars outside the cottage.- big bathroom- away from noisy streetThings to improve: - Thermal insulation ceiling should be installed in the room as hot weather interfered with the air-conditional cooling.- extra body soap and shampoo can be provided or saved in the cabinet- low water pressure for the bath (maybe at higher ground)- no signboard to indicate the location of premises

We were happy with our stay overall. The bungalow was nice if a little basic but that is what you expect with this type of accomodation. Staff were lovely and it was great to relax on our veranda which had a hammock. Unfortunately our stay was tainted by our noisy neighbours who were making noise right outside our bungalow till 3am one day and 5am the next. Even after asking them to keep it down the the first night we were ignored a had the same the next night. The property and staff were not at fault in any way however as the walls are so thin if you have inconsiderate people next door you will not sleep

Noisy Neighbours!

We liked our stay very much, we were in one of those wooden houses. It is a little walk from restaurant street and beach, but not too much. Food in restaurant was nice! Lots of animals near like cows, birds, bunnies, rooster, cats. That was cool. Wooden house was cute but the room was super hot during daytime. We had to even use wet towels to cool our body because air-con was very weak. And there were window partly open so air-con couldn't work perfectly. Despite the "too hot inside the hotelroom", we liked our stay. Wifi is ok, not super fast. Wooden house is quite minimalist style inside and for that reason it is easier to keep clean. No animals or bugs inside, that is always good. Although the drain started to stink when we had stayed one or two nights. Some little things needed fixing, like showerhead etc..No room cleaning at all.All in all we liked our stay mostly because situation is okay and atmosphere was nice.

Nice hotel, but very hot during daytime

I cannot think of anything bad to say about Rainbow Lodge!Location quiet but only a few minutes' walk from the main street. Very green outlook to the rooms as it has fields on two sides.Staff helpful and friendly with a very good restaurant on site - great atmosphere and one of the few small hotel restaurants I have ever seen full of people!We stayed in a studio house and it had everything we needed - a good size bedroom / living room, a mini kitchenette with fridge, toaster and kettle & a good sized bathroom with hot shower.

Book this one and you'll not regret it!

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Rainbow Lodge and would highly recommened them to anyone. The service from the guys was great throughout my stay they were very friendly and helped with the best places to see in Langkawi. Its a 5 minute walk from the beach and main strip but secluded enough to not get the noise from the main road. For the price you pay, you just can’t go wrong

This was a basic cozy room very nice located. The staff was really helpful and let us check out late since there was a storm on the day we were leaving. The room was basic but very spacious and cleaned. The wifi was one of the fastest we've had in Malaysia which was nice in stormy days when all we can do was stay in and watch movies. Overall great stay.

Great！！Good！ I will come again

The place looks very nice, it is very colorful and full of smiling people. We booked early a budget bungalow with a fan and private bathroom, the price was really good (so good I was even little worried if the place is nice :) ) The bungalow was quite big with a terrace with chairs and table. Booking a room we asked for a terrace with a hammock and got it what was really nice. Rooms are clean and big, bathroom is ok. There is a restaurant with competitive prices and the place is just few-minute walk from a beautiful wide beach, shops and restaurants. The only thing I didn't like is that rooms were nearly empty - there was just a bed and a mirror. Not even a single hanger or hook to hang some clothes. Few hangers or hooks are not a big cost so in my opinion this improvement is a must. Still I absolutely recommend the place.
