Highly recommend this property. Gorgeous lakeside hotel

This hotel on the shores of Lake Malawi. I would rate it as a good 4-star hotel. Most guests seemed to be Malawian conference guests but the hotel is more like a resort. Staff members are friendly and helpful. The room was big enough and the bed was comfortable. I slept very well. Buffet dinner was excellent. 

I've been there for quiet some days but it's a really nice place...This place is so called sunbird livingstonia beach hotel,when we take away of salima down to senga-bay the road takes as straight to the hotel...

What a great place to enjoy the lake and Malawi hospitality! Everything worked at this hotel and rooms were spacious with great view of the lake. Bed was super comfortable and bathroom was a pleasure to use. 

I really enjoyed the little balcony with chairs to enjoy the views. 

Internet was the only thing that was spotty.

Room was very clean and food was amazing.Will definitely go back

Malawi is a Landlocked country in Eastern Africa boasting the third biggest lake in Africa.  Being beside the lake is like being at the Sea side except the it is fresh water.  In October this year my wife and I visited Livingstonia Beach.  The Hospitality was out of this world.  The lake boasts a tremendous range of fish some unique to the lake.  My favourite species to eat is the local delicacy, the Chambo fish which I ate plenty of, prepared to my liking, eaten with Nsima.  If you visit Malawi and have spare time I highly recommend that you visit Livingstonia Beacjh

We booked for lunch with our project partners and drove all the way from Lilongwe to find our lunch ready by the beach with beautiful views and a cool breeze in the hot month of October. The traditional lunch was well appreciated by our visitors and they enjoyed their day

The food was superb, the boat ride was so great the facility is just a perfect holiday destination

What a treat!

I was very dissapointed by the evening restaurant stuff. I ordered and requested that the food be ready in two hours. After two hours I went to the restaurant for dinner. It didnt come out for another 2 hours. Apparently, they had misplaced my order. The carpet in my room was dirty. Check in was fast, room was nice(except carpet), breakfast was great and the beach was very clean.

This is a nice hotel in a nice location but you need to be aware that this hotel may try to not give you the room that you have paid for. I booked a chalet with sea view for a friend of mine in malawi as a treat but when he arrived the reception tried to give him a standard room even though it clearly stated on his booking that it was a chalet. My friend had to remain at reception for an hour arguing with the staff until they finally gave him the room that I had paid for. It seems that unless you argue your case, this hotel may try to not give the room that you have paid for. Aside from that the stay was very nice but the hotel needs to be told to honour people's correct bookings.

The place is quiet cool, it's beautiful in nature. Being one on the banks of the fresh water body, Lake Malawi it's rooms are spacious , clean modern and meeting every need one has. I enjoy the Friday Buffets which mostly are comprised of local foods. The cheffs know how to do their Job. When you travel don't miss this spot.

Some cool place to refresh the Mind

The very best Lakeside Hospitality offered in Malawi, the Warm Heart of Africa.

After several days #birding, we had a short break at this nice resort hotel. We found Lake Malawi to be a bit cold at this time of year, so spent most of our time catching up on sleep and taking advantage of some of the best WiFi connections we found in Malawi. I was able to upload several photos using the connection in our room. The room also had a nice TV with several international selections for news, etc.

We opted for the outdoor restaurant for dinner as the indoor one seemed to be set up for a banquet or business event. The food and drinks were excellent. We picked from a buffet with a small but varied selection that had something for everyone.

We saw many families with young children, especially around the large pool area. 

A nice spot to spend some relaxing time.

And there were some birds on the grounds. My wife spotted a young Brown Headed Kingfisher before breakfast. (Photo)

Very nice resort hotel on Lake Malawi

Stopped at this lovely location for lunch during a business trip to the area from Lilongwe.
The views are beautiful, sandy beach and relaxed atmosphere. 
Monkeys run freely around, occasionally approaching the open air restaurant area.
Had a lovely crocodile tail steak (excellent) while others had grilled chambo.
Will definetly need to come back for a proper vacation. 

Lunch by lake Malawi

I had to stay here for work purposes for a month. The rooms were really nice! They opened up to the malawi river beach that is so beautiful! The staff was amazing! The chef greeted us for every meal and was willing to make some of our favorites on request. Everyone was so friendly and house keeping kept our rooms nice and laundry washed. I plan to bring my family back for a visit and some fun beach times.

Simply Awesome

Great place for entire family or business team building meeting. Hosted our nurses and staff from Lilongwe and was only over an hour to get there. They were on spot with class act service.  Buffet was delicious with local cuisine options as well. The Lake shore was clean and we even went on a short boat ride. The only thing that they can do is update the shower and  changing facilities.
