The hotel is on the river and is close to pretty much everything in Roja, including the beach. We were warmly welcomed, and as we didn't speak Latvian as phone call was made to a German-speaker who was able to explain things to us, like access after the restaurant shuts at night. We were given a key to the back door and shown a room where we could leave our bikes. The bedroom was quite good, with plenty of hooks and shelves in the bathroom (not often the case in Latvia) but no basin plug as usual. The walls must be thin because we were disturbed by other guests returning noisily late at night. Breakfast is in the dining room overlooking the river, and buffet-style.
