Firstly, I would like to thank the Hotel Owner Agris for sorting out all the rooms so all my family could stay at the hotel during peek season.

Secondly, the rooms are very comfortable and clean.

Finally, the young staff at the hotel are fantastic, always helpful and accommodating they could not do enough to ensure the whole family had an amazing stay, in fact their hospitality far exceeded some 5 star hotels I have stayed in.

We will be back.

Wedding Party 

We arrived to Cesis when the city center was closed for transit and then it seemed like it would take forever to get to the hotel. In fact, that small hotel was inside the city, about 3 km from the center. We made short drive back by car and enjoyed walk near castle ruins and at the main street.
The room seemed comfortable, but the hairdryer was missing in our bathroom and WiFi connection was possible only in lobby. A child's extra bed was charged EUR 15 and was placed in so that there was left only little room for movement. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was enough.

Accommodation outside of the  center of Cesis

We stayed for one night as driving from Lithuania to Estonia. Check in took a while as receptionist didn’t seem to know what he was doing! The credit card machine wasn’t working (which others have commented on so maybe they want to be paid in cash!) so we paid cash. I asked what time breakfast was and it was like noone had ever asked that question! The room was big but bed very low and very soft although i did sleep well. No air con or fan and it was very hot. Curtains very odd and didn’t really block out anything! There was also quite a few dead flys on the floor. We requested breakfast at 8am but we were told on arrival that it wasn’t ready so to come back in 15 minutes, which we did. Very limited selection, cold meat, cheese, bread, biscuits, pears and cereal. I had toast and butter but no jam! It wasn’t our sort of place so would not choose to stay there again.

Not great!

Felt like in a dorm, because you could hear every single step and somehow after 22:00 the receptionist kept running to pick up the phone. The room was very nice and clean. A bit uncomfortable bed, but ok for the price. Breakfast small, but tasty. Not consider-at with people with allergies. 
The stuff is very unprofessional. Except the only man we met there - he seemed to know a bit more about the hotel. The girls were very sweet but felt a bit clueless. One of thwn walked in our room without knocking... i was in a  towel. 
Overall a very nice hotel with a lot of potential. 

Nice rooms, sad staff, small breakfast

We got there and the credit card machine was not working. We paid cash and there was no change. Breakfast at the next day was very limited. Scramble egg was burned, cheese and ham was very less and the hotel was running out of milk even if there were 6 guest only for the starting time of the breakfast. Our room was okay but a little bit smelly when we got in. Even when the windows are closed you can hear the cars passing by on the street. We cannot recommend that place. Even for one night it was exhausting. For a longer stay should a more central spot be preferred.
