We had originally stayed at this newly opened hotel in the heart of Vientaine in 2011 and we were overwhelmed by the vast amount of locally sourced hardwood that they used throughout the hotel..ac was on all the time and all over the place .. a breakfast as included without a choice as it was local baguettes plus eggs and hotdogs which they called sausage.. for the price we paid then... it was a fairly good deal..
Fast forward Eight years and we are back.. not much has changed nor has the price as there are lots of choices of hotels ..same room but dated .. although the menu there are three choices .. a local treat called mun gun ( aka hand made noodles in a pork broth )...American breakfast of toast..bacon and the same hotdogs along with fruit and the last is another noodle entree.. I stuck it out with the American breakfast.. the lobby is vast and without ac as it had been Eighr years ago.. and surprisingly the price is still the same.. the good points is that the location is central

Vientaine hotel

This hotel is situated a little bit outside of town, which isn't a huge problem as there isn't a great deal to do in Vientiane. It's roughly a mile-mile and a half walk, again not far. 

We stayed in the budget rooms on the sixth floor which are clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The rooms come with a TV, bottled water, big bed, hot showers, A/C and free breakfast. The rooms have no window, no concern to us but thought I'd mention it if that's what you avoid in a room. 

The breakfast is decent, it consisted of two fried eggs, two chicken sausages, bacon, ham and three drinks (coffee/tea/juice). 

As mentioned in previous reviews the staff here are useless and quite frankly rude. We didn't get greeted and they didn't even to notice us as we stood there to check in. Got given a key with no explanation of anything in the hotel I.E when breakfast was, where are room was or even where the lift was. 

Needed to use there printer which they were reluctant to allow us to use, eventually we were allowed to use it but told there was no paper although there was a huge new packet of un opened paper on the side which I pointed out and was told that it wasn't paper. Luckily one of the staff members recognised the other member was being awkward and sorted it for us, so I say thank you to her. 

Our room was right next to a mechanical thing that continuously made noise (room 601). We should have asked to be moved or complained but we didn't do more our fault than the hotels. 

The hotels nice, big and clean but not very welcoming. I wouldn't stay here again only because I wouldn't come back to Vientiane, but if this hotel was was anywhere else I would. 

 


Comfortable stay 

Laos in the summertime is very hot, and humid, but this hotel even though it is not 5 star, is quite nice. It is very clean, and on a main, busy street. The air conditioning was great to come back to after a day of meetings. It allowed you to get a good night's rest, so you felt OK getting back in the heat the next day. Breakfast was included, it was good, but very limited in variety. Did have an American style breakfast as on of its choices. The price was very reasonable, and although there are some really nice hotels in Vientiane, if you are there on business, and don't want to spend a lot of money this is a good value. Would stay there again in back in Vientiane.

Clean and Cool

We stayed here 2 nights it the budget rooms 6th floor no window hence budget, hotel looks nice but staff not helpful or friendly and it's not close to town and as tuk tuk are so expensive in Laos ur better off paying a little bit more and sating in the middle of town. 

Not really good enough

The location is rather decentralised on one of the main streets of Vientian, but the motorbike can reach the centre in 5 minutes.

Well, not very well.

The rooms were dirty and the staff could hardly speak English.For breakfast they offered local specialities-noodles or rice with pork,there was nothing for vegeterians.Wifi didn't work.
The hotel is Located Quite far from the main street of the city,but about 10minutes way to the airport.Generally i'm not reccommending this place to anyone at all!

Dissapointed

Unfortunately we booked online so we were locked in for 2 days. The pictures of the "lobby" give the wrong impression. It was nice and bright and clean. Our room was dirty...like caked on to the wardrobe. The staff had left the window open so there were hundreds of mosquitos flying around. They told us they were full when we asked to change rooms so we duct taped our mosquito next to the ceiling. They did come up and spray for mosquitos. The stuff was toxic and worked, but who knows what it did to our lungs. 
The bed was comfy. 
Our room had AC and a tv, which was nice, but the rat that visited us during the night WAS NOT! It crawled out of the wardrobe and we woke up to it rustling around in our bags. 
Breakfast is included but left much to be desired. Cold eggs and hot dogs, with 3 old pieces of papaya. 
And its way too far to be walking back and forth. I mean you can but it sucks. There are plenty of options in the city including one that we moved to.
