My sister and I stayed at Noi's place when we visited Vang Vieng. The rooms were spacious and clean and there are also free coffee, tea and bananas all day. The hotel is really close to all of the restaurants in town, probably a three minute walk. Even though we only stayed in Vang Vieng for one night, Noi made sure that we had a great time and helped us find things to do. He also helped us get to the next town, which isn't very touristy and can be very difficult to get to from Vang Vieng. If you stay here, make sure you talk to Noi. He is a great guy!

I stayed here with a friend for one night (16th - 17th February) and was very impressed. The beds were so big that 5 people could easily have slept in the twin room (one double bed and one single bed). The beds could, however, have been a bit more comfortable. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The staff were also very friendly.

Excellent rooms and service!

Massive rooms, very clean, lovely balcony!

Nai Noi Guesthouse in Vang Vieng.
We came to Vang Vieng and walked around the town to find a hostel. This hostel's host was on a scooter driving around finding people for the hostel. He made a pretty convincing sale, telling us about a double room with ac, private bathroom, tv, free water, bananas, coffee, etc. and we decided to stay there. The room was ok but there were tons of ants all over the place running around, even in the bed (a lot!). In the bathroom there was a huge spider which we did not dare to indimmidate and spider web covered the whole ceeling. When we where leaving the owner tried to make us pay more for the stay (we had baraganed the price to 55.000kip per night for 4 nights). We ignored the bad look we got, gave the money we had barganed for and left. The day before we left we bought a bus ticket from the host. We tried to make sure that the bus ticket was what we were paying for by continuesly asking whether it was a VIP bus and that it was air cond. and that we would have enough space for our legs. He said yes to everything and made us pay 100.000 kip each and we would be picked up at the guesthouse at 9:30 am. The morning after we were ready to go at about 9. There was a minivan that arrived at about 9:10 and he told us to get on it. We did and there we asked the other passangers where they were going. Everyone replied Luang Prabang. We asked if this minivan was going all the way there and they said yes so we hastly went off the minivan to ask the guesthouse host whether is was not certain that we would be going on the VIP bus we paid for. He said yes and that this minivan would only bring us to the bus station where we would change to the VIP bus, But of course the minivan driver did not stop at the bus station and kept on driving. We tried to make him stop the car and demanded that he'd take us back but he ignored us and kept on driving. Hence, not much for us to do but suffer throught the 7 hour long drive in a minivan with our knees to our chests and no air con to Luang Prabang. Bottom line:
DO NOT BUY ANY TRIPS OR BUS TICKETS FROM THIS GUY, HE IS A CHEETER AND A SCAM ARTIST!!!! HE GETS DRUNK (AND DOES WHO KNOWS WHAT WITH GUESTS AT THE HOSTEL). DO NOT TRUST HIM!!!

Scam

Money stolen from this hotel 19 nov 2012. No 24 hr reception. Manager drinking with friends while on duty. Not trustworthy, not recommended. Although with very nice views of the mountains, it is a pity that a tired traveller was taken advantage of. Arrived to vang vieng after 30 hours on various buses from southern laos. Travellers should be especially cautious if they choose to stay in this town. 

Paid for dropping my guard

They ask too much money for tours and only speak english when they feel like it. Which is when they can make money. when something goes wrong they suddenly don't understand you. Don't go here!!!! Very unfriendly and a big scam
