I don’t usually write reviews and was very skeptical about this hostel when I booked it since it’s so low cost (I paid USD $15 for 3 nights including taxes). I took a chance on it due to all the prior/raving reviews... so here I am writing one in case you have the same doubt! This is a relatively newly opened hostel and on my arrival, Mr Lai Lee put me in a separate room so I can have some privacy to myself. This is such a nice gesture (tho it’s low travel season in Laos), but he didn’t have to do that... the bed and linens are clean and they assured me there will be no cockroaches as I’m terrified of them lol... I saw none and no other bugs during my entire stay here and they kept the common areas very clean at all times. In the morning, they serve you either western style omelette or Lao noodle soup for breakfast which really makes you think if they charged enough for my hotel stay! This hostel is located near the Phou Si Mountain and everything you need in LP. The local restaurant right across the road is excellent too. In mornings I usually chat with Mr Dao and he shared his experience as a novice monk and some local insights with me... it’s really an experience that I would pay triple or more to get and my stay here has been an awesome one.
