I stayed here for over 6 weeks in the summer of 2012. And honestly, I couldn't possibly compliment this place highly enough. It was helpfully close to work. The owner and staff were all wonderful, and the building itself was fantastic. Food was great too! I very much looked forward to coming back.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in coming back!

It was home away from home.

Friendly staff, great food and comfy and clean rooms. The internet worked great, and they offer a useful laundry service. Just a 15 min walk away from the UN compound. Highly recommend this guesthouse!

LOVED staying here.  The rooms are neat and clean and the beds are comfy. The chef was very accommodating and the food was superb. The staff were really exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was very friendly and always happy to chat to me. The property is very safe and is walking distance to the UN and Village Market.  

Great location, fantastic staff, just an all-round excellent stay!

Wonderful stay

Please note that this review is of the STUDIO room. The studio rooms ($80 dollar/night rooms) were a bit old and in another building separate from the main building and garden views. The bathroom was extremely small and the hot water a bit dodgy. The windows had no screens so if you stay in the summer you will trapped in the bed's mosquito net. The breakfast very basic- eggs and cereal. It was very annoying that food like chapatis for breakfast or dinner needs to be order well in advance (chapatis the night before and dinner in the morning). The guest house is about a 15 minute walk to the UN compound and does not have a shuttle like at neighboring Comfort Gardens. I was a bit surprised that the online advertised price was the same as what was advertised in the room (no discount online) and there are several guesthouses with similar or better facilities in the neighborhood that are cheaper. Please note that the studio rooms DO NOT have TVs. The description of the room that I received from Booking.com was not completely accurate- there was no robe nor an in-room sitting area or desk. The room was quite small and the wardrobe was not a closed piece of furniture but was kind of weird with a bar to hang clothes on top and wicker basket drawers. Also disappointing that the room did not have a safe! The walls were quite thin so you should go out to the garden if you want to make any private calls. For UN staff, you'll get the same rate at Comfort Gardens but a more modern room.

Quiet but very basic guest house

The guesthouse is well located for UN visitors as it's within walkable distance (20min) in a safe neighbourhood. The staff is very friendly and responsive. Breakfast was decent. The room I had was clean but small and very basic. All in all a good option for long term stays (there is also a small kitchen) if you wish to avoid Nairobi traffic and need to go to the UN.
