Jinkuro

Stayed here for a night after hiking at Kamikochi. It is only about 15 minutes drive from Hirayu Onsen. We chose a plan with dinner and breakfast included and food was EXCELLENT. There were alot of local vegetables and ingredients used so we couldnt name 80% of the dishes on the table but anyway everything was so good. They have 2 indoor baths and 3 outdoor baths. The indoor baths were probably supposed to be gender separated but because of covid prevention, all 5 baths were for private use. We stayed on a Sunday and there werent many guests around so we had the privilege to go to all the baths. The outdoor bath was great especially, and you can see the stars at night. Temperature was taken during check in, and we also had to fill up a health declaration sheet. Apparently the building is already 150 years old but it probably has been renovated a little as everything is clean and quite modern. We didnt have any issue at all during our one night stay except there wasnt coffee (or the option to purchase) for breakfast.
