Hotel was a bit dated but the room was very spacious. Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto is just across the station. After dropping of the bags, my kids had to go to Uji for their timed slot at the Nintendo Museum. While waiting for them, we went around the Kyoto Station area, Kyoto Tower and even got to rest for a bit. When they got back, we went to the Yodabashi Store just at the back of the hotel. We had ramen dinner at their food court. We got the connecting rooms each woth 2 beds each and futon for the tatami Mat. Connecting rooms means we got 2 bathrooms as well. Which was perfect for our family of 5. Lawson Konbini is just at the corner. Though, the hotel offers breakfast. We opted to grab some snacks at the konbini. Toiletries, tea and coffee are at the lobby. You can even borrow umbrellas. The microwave is also at the lobby. There are 2 water bottles for each room. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Though far from the spots in Kyoto, this was a perfect base for us.
