5 reviewsWe stayed 2 nights and just loved the place. Catch the cable railway to koen-kami and exit left side and take first street on the left. It is quite steep downhill. Ryokan is about 100m down the hill and set back about 20m behind another building. Don't miss the traditional breakfast, it's amazing. There are private and public baths, we tried both and they are really relaxing. Make sure you read the instructions about washing first before entering bath! Our maid was really friendly, but there is not much English spoken here, but not really needed. Walk down the hill to reach Gora where you can grab the train back down the hill.
