PICA FUJIYOSHIDA - Campsite

My husband and I opted to stay 1 night in a tent with the option of food for 2 meals provided (dinner & breakfast). It was our first glamping experience. It was part of a self-drive trip in Izu Pennisula. We did not have any problems trying to find the location using a GPS. The tent is already set up for you with 2 single beds (and electric blankets), 2 chairs, a small table and a small shelf inside the tent. The tent is also lined with rugs on the floor so it's not too chilly. There is electricity and enough power points provided inside the tent so you can plug in your personal devices to charge and use if you want. Only the toilets and baths are in a common area. So if you have to go in the middle of the night, you have to get out of your tent and use a Coleman rechargeable LED lantern, which is conveniently provided for in the tent. The staff at the counter was really nice and asked if we were cold and offered us thick blankets free to loan. There was a lot of food provided for 2 pax. Dinner was bbq and the bbq gas grill with a table & benches are conveniently located within 10 steps of our tent. The bbq area is a common cooking & dinner area for the nearest 4 tents to use. So it has 4 sets of bbq gas grill with tables & benches. Cutlery and cooking utensils are also provided. Breakfast was eggs, bacon, sausages, bread and coffee. Simply use the gas grill to cook the ingredients in whichever way you prefer. My husband and I really enjoyed the experience without any hassle of bringing any specific items for camping or for bbq. It was nice and quiet as I believe it may not be the peak season for camping. We were also the only 2 foreigners there. We will return!
