This was my second stay at Chippewa.  I stayed in the second story unit overlooking the Great Morass.  The accommodations were perfect.  It is large with two decks, one off the front and one off the back that overlooks the Great Morass.  It was amazing every morning to get up and watch the sun rise over the mountains and watch the Morass come alive.  
The apartment was very clean and the staff is amazing.  Will return!  

Chippewa Village is a unique spot to stay while visiting Negril! We stayed in one of John's cottages and had everything we needed! In fact, John made it a point to put us in the same cottage as our previous visit in 2018- we thought this was a sweet touch! The property is lush with a bamboo canopy and all kinds of wonderful nature sounds. We slept great each night to the sound of the frogs and the window a/c unit that kept our room very comfortable. Mini fridge in room for snacks and drinks. Location of this property is great! Within walking distance to many restaurants and across the street from the beach! Additionally, there is a COVID testing site just a few business down ($40US, fyi) or you can have John arrange a doctor come to you on-site.

We stayed at Chippewa Village for 2 weeks in January 2018 -  The Manager John arranged for a driver to collect us at the airport (appx £75 each way for 4 people & luggage). We stayed for 2 nights in the loft & then the apartment - both were clean airy and spacious - clean towels every other day - all the windows have mosquito netting on so you can leave them open and enjoy the breeze!  If you like to stay in 5 star luxury then this isn't the accommodation for you, its cheap (for Negril) and cheerful in lovely gardens and located 5 minutes walk from the Beach in the hub of Negril -near the bars and restaurants -  a day pass for $20 from the Hotel opposite entitles you to use of their beach sun loungers, pool and you can spend the $20 on food and drink in the hotel.  Don't be put off about the vicious dog review - Princess is lovely and gentle and certainly not a Rottweiler!!  Thank you John for your hospitality we had the best time.

This is not plush but it is clean and dry and has lots of character. Price is very reasonable and John was friendly and welcoming. It felt so easy going and views were amazing. Some would say shabby chic

This was my first time staying at Chippewa. In fact, in fourteen years going I've never stayed across the street before. This place was great! Clean and lovely. John is great, Nadine too! And well, Princess, she's just the best dog ever. Bed super comfortable, with nice sheets and blankets. Wifi worked well everywhere. We never turned on the a/c, just used the Jamaica wind. Would stay there again, but will bring a sleep mask next time. 

Chippewa Village is certainly a special, one of a kind experience in Negril. My partner and I stayed in one of the cottages and it had everything we needed. Nothing fancy, but really cute and fun. Our room was decorated nicely and clean upon arrival. We had a mini fridge and a small a/c window unit that both worked great! Cold drinks and a cool room to sleep in each night. I appreciated having a safe in our room, but I also felt like the property itself was safe. Conveniently located near restaurants, bars, and small grocery stores to get supplies. Housekeeping came by each day to clean up and replaced towels every other day. Also, John (the owner) and his sweet dog (Princess) were delightful and helpful. We would definitely stay at Chippewa Village again!

Had the most fun at Chippewa with friends.

I emailed John a week ago and still no reply 

This place sold me a dream. From what was on the website I was disappointed when I got to the hotel the first thing I did was use the restroom and when I went in there I went to flush your toilet it didn't flush. Had to empty the bin and pour water from the tap to put in the top of the toilet lid so that I can flush the toilet.

We then got our room upgraded as we were paying the same price as our friends but they had two double beds while we were stuck with two single beds in that room the Wi-Fi was appalling, we had to go outside even when it was raining .we had the same problem with the toilets Plus there were many ants in the room I woke up one morning with hundreds of ants swarming my feet I had numerous bites which continuously irritated me for the duration of my holiday.

 I would not recommend this place to anyone especially family's with kids as they will not enjoy it.
