Lighthouse Inn 2

Thank you Penny & Inge, for making me feel so safe and welcome. I arrived late in the evening without a booking and miraculously they had a room for the exact time I needed (they are usually fully booked!). Immediately, I was greeted by both a smiling Penny & Inge and their hospitality was exceptional, from start to finish. They make you feel like part of the family! This place is the true meaning of eco living. Shutters for windows, your own wooden cabin, amazing trees and plants around you, the sound of the jungle outside whilst you sleep. It's definitely not suited to everyone, but for me and my preferences, it was the most peaceful I've felt in a long time. The landscape around you is stunning and Penny told me all about how he started in the 1990s and how it breaks his heart to see trees being cut down for other developments. I was inclined to agree. If you're looking for a 'luxurious' five star experience, this place isn't for you. But if you are looking for a cultural stay in the Jamaican jungle, with trees around you and pure peace & tranquility - this will be. Last mention - I ate in the restaurant for one night and the food was excellent. The bar is brill too, again the friendliest bartender going. Five stars from me, Lighthouse Inn 2. I'll be back.
