Ca Di Rose BB

We wanted a place in the Dorsoduro area of Venice, rather away from the mobs of tourists. This is it. We also wanted easy access from the airport, as well as easy access to the cruise ship terminal---both by the Alilaguna vaporetti. The Zatteri vaporetto stop is right around the corner from the B&B. No problem. VERY quiet location. This location is the southern portion of Dorsoduro is delightful to walk around in, and only 5 minutes walk from the L'Accademia museum and vaporetto stop, so you can get on the Grand Canal. There are only a couple of rooms that the owner has, the floor belongs to the family. It is a third floor, no elevator, so it may not be for everyone, particularly with heavy suitcases. No air conditioning, but that did not bother us since we were there is late September for 3 days. A nice little kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a separate bathroom of a good size. We could not have asked for anything better. New muffins every morning, various pastries, cheese, fruit, etc. for breakfast. Joanna will meet you at the palace if you tell her what time, and she will also give you directions. The building is built into a little bend down a tiny little alley street. Trust her directions. There is no sign on the door about it being the Ca di Rose, as I remember.
