Singerhof

This really was an excellent holiday. The views are just breathtaking, right in front of the Schlern massief, looking out across mountains and valleys. We had one of the recently-renovated two-bedroom duplex apartments. These have been done to a high standard, the rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and the bathrooms are lovely. The kitchen has a dishwasher and four-ring hob (no oven, grill or microwave). The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and shutters or blinds to keep out the light, very important for getting to sleep and staying asleep in the summer months! Although it was very warm weather when we were there, the apartment stayed cool and was pleasant to come home to. There is a playground with swings, slide, playhouse, sandpit and ride-on toys and you can keep an eye on the children from the balcony of the apartment. The rabbits live next to the playhouse and next to them live the chickens and the pony. Fresh milk every morning from the cows in the stall, fresh yoghurt, eggs and bread too. Three generations of the Hofer family live on site. They have the balance just right when it comes to being friendly, making sure you have everything you need, and still respecting privacy. Very nice people. The location is ideal, between Kastelruth and Seis. 5 minute drive into Kastelruth which is a small pretty town with shops, services and restaurants, 5 minute drive the other way to Seis for the cable car up to the wonderful Seiser Alm for beautiful walks with stunning views. Also 5 minutes from the gorgeous public swimming pool at Telfen, right under the mountains. Walks from the front door (you can also walk to Kastelruth or Seis). Local pizzeria delivers to the door. A wonderful place to stay for rest and relaxation. We didn't want to leave!
