Castello Del Poggiarello Di Stigliano

I have a house in Italy and I travel this magical country every year. I like unconventional places, unique and with character and so I have seen extraordinary places during my trips. This is one of them. A door to the past, beautifully decorated and magical. Summer can be merciless here so a swimming pool will be seen as the best thing life can give youn that day and those are reasonably rare, but The Castello has one. Located in a secluded place surrounded by old Palazzos and Florentin buildings it will give you the courage to begin your day of exploration and you will end that day with a fresh, enchanting night, going through that wonderful day you just lived. Under the Castello is a fabulous cafe/restaurant in a similar type of building again full of character and charm. This year will be my fourth visit and thinking about going back there make me feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to come. Bit tricky to find for your GPS, but believe me, getting lost will be a good thing and you will get there anyway. Car and well, GPS, are a must. Close to extraordinary Siena. Go !
