1631 reviewsOur first time in Sicily. My husband and I stayed in the hotel Donnafugata for 9 nights. We enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is beautiful in every way. The staff are so friendly. Always chatting to us and giving us tips for where to visit etc. The room was lovely. So clean and spacious. The room maids were so friendly and every afternoon/evening they knocked on our door to check if we needed anything and to give us some Sicilian biscuits! We had a choice of restaurants within the resort. We tried nearly all of them. Amazing food! We ended up having our evening meal in the resort eight out of the nine nights we stayed. The breakfast was such a treat! So much choice and everything fresh and delicious. The hotel is a bit out of the way and so a hired car is recommended. The hotel arranged the car for us with no fuss as well as our transport from the airport and back. The taxi driver, Francesco, who drove us from the airport to the hotel told us all we needed to know about Sicily and the best places to visit. It felt like we had our private tour guide. The morning of our departure the hotel staff were waiting for us at the reception with a breakfast take-away bag as it was a bit early to eat at the hotel. They think of everything to make the guests feel welcomed and relaxed. We can’t fault Donnafugata golf & spa hotel, although we don’t even play golf but what a good opportunity to have golf lessons! We enjoyed that very much!
