Like it's always been in life , we just suddenly find this place when we came back from Corleone to Palermo.It's so B.E A.U.T.I.F.U.L! We don't know what was better, place , food or our host. Everyone was so nice, specially,I think it was owner itself , we have feeling that we are at home. We have not find the word which will describe hospitality of this place. Honestly, if we closer we will there every single day of our vacation! YOU MUST came to this place ,eat and resting brain in such beautiful and peaceful ambient! Big big greetings to owner and everyone there from Andrea and Mario from Croatia! 

Great evening organised by our hotel after our request. We were collected by Vincent and driven to Ciro's farm, which was originally built in the 12th century and 45 minutes from Palermo.  Ciro and his family's farm produce the ingredients used in the  restaurant - including the cheeses and honey.  All vegetables and fruit are organically grown.

Well our meal, which we were able to participate in was fantastic!! Everything was so flavoursome and simply prepared.  Ciro explained his ingredients and why they were selected, unfortunately by the time we got to desert, I could only sample the fig, almond flour and hazelnut delight (Ciro's latest creation).

Picked up a couple of cooking tips which I will use when I get home and tasted a new cheese - tumo?, Devine deep fried ricotta, egg plant parmigiana, honey coated tumo, Italian sausage with sautéed Rosemary potatoes and it goes on.

Definitely worth a visit, he also has accomodation and has opened a spa, views are awesome as the countryside compared to the city is so different.

Couldn't have thought of a better way to spend our last night in Italy.

We had planned a trip to Marineo, this being the only available place to stay, we booked here. The original information I read, said it was only 3km from the center of town. Unfortunately, this was not the case. After traveling about 20 minutes down the mountain from Marineo, I had to tell the taxi driver to turn around. Our plan was to be close enough to walk the town for genealogical reasons. Sadly, without a car, I knew this would not be possible. I'm sure they have a lovely place, but it was misleading to travel so far down a mountain to reach the location, knowing we'd be stuck there and not be able to visit the town for the whole purpose we were there. For someone with a car, it may have been fine. We were just sad we did not know the true distance from the town or that it was down the mountain from the town and with a route not possible to walk.
