From our email exchanges to a final hug goodbye, this was a truly lovely experience. Elisabeth and her family went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed every part of our stay. The restaurant is first class--dinners were inspired and delicious and breakfasts were completely homemade, including jams and fresh baked bread. Every member of the staff was friendly and welcoming. Elisabeth gave us wonderful advice about beautiful hiking trails. San Martino di Castrozza is a terrific base for summer hiking...a little crowded on the weekend, but much quieter on weekdays. The setting of the town is spectacular. We were traveling as a couple, but the Chalet seemed to be a great place for families, too. Just a wonderful, memorable stay.
