Agriturismo Il Chiassale

I spent nine days at this wondeful agriturismo in Tuscany Italy. An hour or so drive from the airport in Pisa, this place is easily found from the exit to Rapolano Terme. The large guest house is divided into separate apartments; I stayed in the largest, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The swimming pool is large and well maintained, with shaded gazebos and plentiful areas to sit and enjoy the amazing view. The agriturismo is centrally located. With a rental car, we were able to travel easily to nearby towns and villages. Within a short distance you will find Pienza, Siena, Cortona, San Gimignano and more. The website gives more information about the nearby towns. In Sinalunga, we shopped at the Coop, the local grocery store. With an abundant supply of fresh vegetables, fruit, cheese and meats, we were able to prepare meals in the modern kitchen. We literally feasted on fresh pasta and salads, then travelled into town for our nightly dessert, gelato. Perhaps one of the best part of this beautiful place is the host, Danilo. He makes his own wine and olive oil, and both are spectacular. Danilo is a gracious host, stopping by to chat, if you speak Italian! This is an excellent place to experience the serenity and beauty of Tuscany.
